“Nice Location”
Would have preferred if it had more pools & restaurants. Nice location & rooms. Very good beach
“great location”
rooms were small for the price, hotel was under construction so there were some disruptions getting to beach and pool side. food at lava resturant not that great. .breakfast buffet was over priced.
“Great beachfront hotel”
The hotel is right on the beach in Poipu. Best area to stay during the winter months since its the sunny / dry side of the island. Location is convenient (note times are based on the low speed limits on the island): - Port Allen is 30 min away. That's where all the Na Pali Coast boat tours depart - Waimea Canyon is about 45 min away - Polihale Beach, IMO the best beach in hawaii, is about 1 hr away - Wailua and Kapaa (east coast) is also about 45 min away - Kipu ranch ATV is about 30 min away, the best ATV experience on the island Location is not so great for going to Princeville and the north beaches. Takes a long time to get there due to the low speed limits on the roads. But there are more things close to Poipu than there are things far from it. The hotel is also going through construction right now. We lucked out on a construction discount. Only one of the restaurants is still under construction, but its a little noisy, and there are construction vehicles every now and then driving past the beach. Ruins the atmosphere. There is also a very expensive resort fee ($25 / day), which covers parking, internet, and some resort activities. Oddly enough, it doesn't cover snorkel gear rentals. Don't stay above the "Lavas" restaurant & bar. They play music at night, and it can be loud and goes till about 11 pm. Not too late, but if you have a tour early next day, its hard to sleep. In general I would recommend.

On going terrible modifications at the hotel!!!!!!!!!!!
“Very impressed.”
Great location and facilities. Can't wait to go back.
“The most beautiful sunsets ever and great location”
My husband and I had a great honeymoon experience at the Sheraton Poipu! We can't wait to return and enjoy the new dining renovations currently going on! Great staff all around! Be sure to utilize the concierge.
“honeymoon”
nice hotel, friendly staff, great location...only major complaint is still under construction, pool and hottub wasovercrowded with too many kids and the poolside bar food selection was par. Resort fee of $22 per day was ridicoulous. Overall we had a great time and would recommend the hotel.
“Ok overall”
Don't book activities and charge them on the hotel bill. They put a hold on the funds of your credit card 3 times more than your actual expense and if you want them released it takes 48 hours unless you fight them. Check your available funds daily on the credit card that you used for checking at the hotel, you don't want to go over your limit. I had 4300 credit and after booking 700 worth of activities my available funds were 800. Be aware!!!!
“Perfect place for young and old”
I spent many hours researching hotels for this vacation. Traveling with my 82 yr old mother in law, my daughter, 5 yr old and 3 month old grandchildren required planning ahead. I am happy to say that I picked the perfect spot. The hotel's new pool and restaurant on the beach are a great addition to this older, but well kept hotel. The beach was swimmable for older children only, but there were little tide pools were the little ones could play and still have fun. The breakfast buffet was an asset. There were enough restaurants near by to eat lunch and dinner, though we enjoyed the restaurant at the hotel also even though it was a little pricey.. My only disappointed was that their workout room only had one treadmill and it was always in use, even at 4 am.. I will go back again. I had a chance to visit the other properties that I had considered and was pleased that I made the right choice when I stayed here.
“Honeymoon”
We asked for and received an upgrade to a suite.. Thanks Sheraton.
