The hotel was beautiful and right on the beach.Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: We had a wonderful ocean view hotel room that was on the top floor (4th) with a view of the pool.
Cons: When we first got there the elevator by our room was broken but after a couple of days they fixed it.
The staff was very friendly & helpful at all times. We especially liked the valet car service.

Know what you're asking forPosted Jul 11, 2014
We were disappointed to find out that the garden view rooms are all across the street from the main hotel, which is on the beach. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the beach, not bad, but if you're hoping to hear the ocean from your garden view room, it's not going to happen. We had requested a king size bed, but instead was assigned to a room with two double beds. When we pointed that out, we were reminded that our request was just that, only a request. There were no promises that a request for a king bed means you'll get what you asked for. This was the most disappointing part of the stay, second to having to walk across the street to the beach. The hotel clerk was not rude, but she wasn't all that accommodating or empathetic to our plight. Everyone else was very kind. The hotel is very clean, pretty landscaping, nice pools, beds are comfortable, beach is nice. It might be hard for little children to be in the water due to wave action, but it's not too rough for bigger kids and older. This hotel has air conditioning, very nice, which is hard to find on Kauai.

OverpricedPosted Jul 10, 2014
Cons: Better pricing
Not very many eating places near by. Sheraton restaurant booked up early. Ocean view, ocean could be viewed from upper corner of window.

Comfortable stay with nice beach front locationPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Nice and clean beach front location
Cons: In the bathroom, there was very tiny insects and we had to blow away with hairdryer. Tour agent I met at lobby area was not nice enough.
Sheraton Kauai Resort was neat and clean with easy access to the beach. My family's stay for a week was enjoyable, because it was quiet and friendly environment. Overall it was a good experience, except tour arrangement. I do not know whether tour arrangement personnel works for hotel or tour agency. I made a reservation and cancelled next day due to other schedule. Tour agent showed unpleasant face and tore off booking paper in front of me. It was quite an embarrassing experience. I hope it will not happen again.

Very AccomodatingPosted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Bed. Pillows. Staff. Lilikoi Lemonade from Lava's.
Cons: The cable tv. Don't spend much time in the room so this isn't a major issue but it's slow and painful. Most channels distort.
Location: Perfect location. Great beach. Nicer weather. Snorkel all day!
Had a great visit this last June 2014. Staff was great, food was divine, room was comfortable and in great condition. We had one minor issue our first night but were quickly moved to a new room. The concern was not enough to write specifics about. Lava's was a great pool side bar. Mark working the bar was simply the most hospitable person we ran into. We utilized most of the resorts amenities and the outcome was consistently very pleasing. Flew out from Seattle. Go Hawks!

Nice hotel, great location exept for one thing.Posted Jun 23, 2014
Nice hotel, great location exept for the part when we were checking out we had to pay $31 per day for resort facilities. We stayed for a week so we ended up paying around $200 on our way out.

Beautiful gardens steps away from beautiful beachPosted Jun 23, 2014
Got the garden view room overlooking a beautiful garden with tropical flowers. Our room was a little musty and the ac wasn't working too well but the other couple's room in our party was in better condition. Loved that it was just steps away from the beautiful Poipu beach! Great location!

Kauai SheratonPosted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: Beds - two small full-size beds.
Location: Poipu Beach is beautiful. Nearby Lawaii Beach is also very nice and a great place to snorkel. Try the plate lunch in Koloa Town at Seouka.
Beautiful property, right on the beach. Loved everything about this hotel except the beds. We had two adults and one 10 year old so we asked for a room with two beds. The beds were full-size rather than queen and seemed to be the smallest full-size I have ever seen. Otherwise, everything was great. The beach is beautiful, food was good at Links and Lava. Very friendly staff.

Hotel greeted us with a bottle of champagne , upgraded us to an ocean view room and overall exceeded our expectations ! The resort is in excellent condition and the guest services are of very high standards. We were greeted with a welcome package and the hotel took care of organizing and booking all of our activities !
