“napoli coast”
Everything good ,. Except summary "bar closed" by glaring dude at first as I sat down at outdoor bar.If he thought i was loaded a little conversation first would have been nice
“Four Star Paradise”
All rooms are close to a pool! Room was awesome and had everything you could want: jet tub, shower, tvs, refrig, stove, dishwasher, etc. Only one restaurant (Nanea), but tremendous food. We recommend the five course food/wine pairing. Excellent with large portions. Princeville very accessible via provided shuttle, especially the St. Regis, which you can go to for beach access. Overall, a great restful stay after hiking Kokee, kayaking Nepali, camping on Milolii, and snorkeling off of Lehua. Staff was helpful and courteous. Caution: 10 AM checkout, but 45 minutes for a shower/change is offered prior to leaving later in the day. Enjoy Kauai!
“Kauai Westin Princeville 8 day Vacation”
This isn't a hotel but more closely resembles the other Westin properties providing a villa setup much like a time share with more convenience. I had expected there to be a push from the property to buy into the Starwood Preferred program but there was nothing like that during our 8 day stay. There were many activities put on by the event staff but they appeared to be pointed to families. The concierge was very good in pointing us to the activities and the vendors providing the best experience. The only negative about this property is its location on Kauai. It is on the North shore and most of the island activities are on the south side. That meant quite a bit of time driving along the main road around the east side of the island.
“Would love to make this an annual trip.”
Beautiful location, really nice villas, great service and friendly people.
“Mahalo for the Mai Tai”
This was my first time in Hawaii and the staff made me feel welcome. Everything was clean well maintained.
“Best vacation ever”
Our family just returned from our stay in at the Westville Princeville Ocean Resort Villas. This was our best vacation ever! We were very pleased with the service and amenities at the resort. Our room location couldn't have been better. The BBQ grill was located just steps outside the veranda. We stocked up on fresh fish and steak at the Costco in Lihue and saved some $$$ by grilling everyday for lunch and dinner and the location of the BBQ made it ultra convenient. The only negative was that the location of the resort was 1 hr-1 1/2 hrs away from a few of our activities (Na'Pali cruise, ATV's and Luau). The kids (two boys 8 and 9) were just as happy to stay at the resort and play in the 3 pools all day. The resort has access to the Private Beach, pool at the more expensive St. Regis Resort just down the road. We highly recommend this resort.
“Relaxing in Paradise”
The Westin was a wonderful resort. The grounds were clean and neat and so were the rooms. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed the multiple pool and hot tub options every evening. It was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy our vacation. The mulitple grill areas were also a wonderful addition to the resort. We really enjoyed being able to cook out and enjoy the view and weather. I also was impressed by their "go green" approach to housekeeping. It was great to know that they weren't going to waste water on cleaning your linens and towels if you deemed in unneccesary. It was a wonderful stay and we would go there again!
“Great service, lovely setting.”
I was most impressed by the level of service. Any request we had, there was a follow up to call to make sure it was handled. I also like that we were able to decline housekeeping service and get a voucher to use at the hotel's restaurants.
“Recommended with a slight caveat”
We stayed at the Westin Princeville for our honeymoon in March 2011. Overall I'd say we were very happy with the resort. I am glad that we did so much research ahead of time though, so we knew what to expect. The market was great. You can get sandwiches and pizzas to go, which is really nice. You can also get fresh meat to cook on the grills located throughout the grounds (we cooked out steaks one night and it was really nice). The hotel staff was also really nice. Everyone seemed helpful and cheerful. We liked the concierge desk a lot and they helped us to book horseback riding. I didn't like that they tried to sell us a vacation club membership, but they weren't too persistent after a firm no. My only real caveat with this hotel is your view. The hotel bills itself as having "breathtaking views" from every room. Not so much. When we first checked in (and even mentioned it was our honeymoon) we were put into a 1st floor room facing the pool. Except you couldn't even see the pool. We saw some shrubs and gardening equipment. It was super depressing. The next morning I called and asked if there was any way we could switch rooms because this wasn't really the "view" we were promised and they DID move us to a beautiful 3rd floor room facing the ocean, but we had to repack, check our bags for 4 hours, and come back in the afternoon. Overall-- very worth the switch-- but just something to be aware of if you're the type to spend a lot of time on your balcony like we are.
“Would definitely go back to this hotel”
Room was very comfortable; great pools and vistas; woiuld definitely go back to this resort
