April 2015 StayPosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Accommodation and in-room comforts are first rate. Staff are polite and very friendly. Location is perfect for local shops and restaurants
Cons: Half of the complex is under construction; so if you just want to be in the resort; suggest you look elsewhere.
Location: best side of the Island for sunshine; small but safe beaches and great shops and restaurants.
The accommodation is first rate but the resort is undergoing a major refurbishment that will not complete for a further two years. There is no where on the resort that you are not aware of the building work but the rooms, facilities and staff and of course the location make up for the inconvenience.

Luxury ocean view apartments-a splendid vacationPosted Apr 16, 2015
The apartment was a real luxury-beautiful, spacious, fully furnished and in outstanding condition. The hotel staff very courteous and were always available to answer any questions. We also had a full ocean view apartment (though our room description stated that it was only a partial ocean view apartment), which was a nice surprise. Even though construction is going on, it was limited from 8 AM to 6 PM and no construction took place over the weekend. We also enjoyed the lei making and hula workshops very much. Thanks for such a splendid vacation!

High-end Condo Resort near Poipu BeachPosted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: Condos/Rooms - very nice Pool Location - not on the beach but close to many things
Cons: It isn't on the beach (can't be improved), but the beach is close enough.
Location: Poipu Beach: really the best all-around beach on the south of the island Many restaurants in the area - recommend Josselins if you enjoy small plates
My family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights. LOCATION: Not on the beach but walking distance to Poipu Beach and close to 2 different shopping & restaurant complexes in Poipu area. BUILDINGS: There are multiple buildings (6 with 2 more being built). Buildings 2 and 3 are quieter and adjacent to pool. There is ongoing construction. ROOMS: We had a spacious and immaculate 2 BR condominium with a large living room, kitchen, laundry room, and balcony. High end furnishings - granite countertops, subzero refrigerators. POOL: The pool is a good size and has different areas.

Everything fantastic apart from some ongoing construction that was not really loud but visually obstructing some views. Second, very close to beach but not direct beach access. Fabulous pools. Spacious and high end accommodations. Really had a great stay. No regrets.

Great staffPosted Apr 8, 2015
This resort is really beautiful. The staff could not have been more helpful. However the construction that is going on somewhat spoils the atmosphere. We were first put in a condo overlooking the construction site, a deep pit. We were not happy, the staff immediately went to work on changing our location. After 2 days we were moved to a condo overlooking the pool. Thanks to Joe. The rest of our stay could not have been better. We would definitely return to this resort. But, will wait until construction is finished.

Cleaning ServicePosted Apr 6, 2015
Daily cleaning service would have been nice, rather than every 3 days.

Misrepresented EnvironmentPosted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: The 3bd rooms are very nice and very well appointed. The is adequate space on the lanai (terrace) but couldn't really use it. Beds were comfortable.
Cons: I wouldn't consider staying here for a couple more years if ever again so not sure I could add to that statement.
Location: Our hotel was near Koloa in proximity to Poipu beach. We hung out at multiple beaches, did ziplining and tubing. Also went up to Waimea Canyon.
Need to be aware the Hotel's website misrepresents the amount, proximity and level of construction activity. The site says the activity only occurs between 9-5 which is false. On the Monday of our vacation they started at 7:30am and did not end until 7:00pm. The front desk stated they had no control over the time the construction company worked. They were poring concrete that day but would be only day but that was also not true. Thursday the cycle repeated itself. Like most people we're out at the beach or doing activities but expected some time to relax in the morning and weren't given it. The Construction occurs about 10 feet from a couple of the buildings...the website gives impression it is occurring on another piece of the property which isn't true. If they were being honest they would show real time photos. Don't ruin your vacation by staying where instead of hearing ocean waves, the breeze and playful laughter you hear Forklifts, jackhammers, pump trucks and beeping. There is no good view of of the ocean as the new buildings are closer to the beach. We came back one day and our door was open, the staff did not close door properly so lucky no property of ours was stolen. Would not recommend this location for another year or two when construction is complete. The discount rates are not worth it and you can get similar locations at similar prices with no construction work taking place.

Koloa Landing Poipu Beach was paradise!Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: The rooms were spacious, pristine, and updated. Absolutely beautiful. The lagoon pool and serenity pool was clean, beautifully landscaped.
We fell in love with Koloa Landing. It was nicer then we imagined. Spacious and elegant rooms. Manicured tropical landscaping. Beautiful pools. Friendly staff. Located close to the beaches (a long walk or a short drive) in a not so crowded part of Kauai, but centrally located to most of the sightseeing locations. Construction was on-going at the time on some more newer buildings and facilities, but it didn't bother us since we were gone during the day.

Very nice condo near the beach and activities.Posted Mar 21, 2015
We chose to stay right in the Poipu Beach area based on a previous trip to the island. We also wanted our own kitchen along with a washer and dryer. The ability to make some of our own meals was great and we were able to pack very light because we could wash and dry clothes. Having the bar and a shop for sundries in the lobby and great restaurants within walking distance were nice added touches as well. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, too.

okay during massive constructionPosted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: The room was newly remodeled and the people were terrific
Cons: restrooms at the pool, which they are working on. provide some offering on a resort for the resort fee or drop it. frankly, it's insulting
room was perfect with one minor glitch, the dryer didn't dry. Room was newly remodeled and no issue's, very large and had everything we needed. The grounds are not ocean front, there is no restrooms at the pool and there is significant construction on the property on nearly every open spot. I might try again without the construction but left feeling a little burnt that they charged me a $32/day resort fee......for what? this clearly isn't a resort.
