"Calm hotel on the beach"
We arrived late in the evening and had a smooth check-in. We felt welcome from the first moment we got there and till we left. With a 12 hour time difference to recover from, this was the perfect place to stay. It was calm at night, the pool and fitness room to enjoy, and a good restaurant to cover our meals. Kauai is a beautiful island to visit. Remember to pick up a car at the airport, if planning to drive around, since that's the nearest car rental point.

"Honeymoon Upgrade!"
We only stayed here for 1 night because we were at a time share unit the other days we were in Kauai, but everyone was as friendly as could be. The lady at the front desk upgraded our room to an ocean view room for free, gave us a free bottle of champagne, 2 vouchers for free Mai Tai's and a box of chocolates. We were on our honeymoon so that's the reason for all the extras, but she took care of us and we had an excellent experience!

"Great hotel with very well kept grounds"
The Kauai Beach Resort is a very nice hotel. It's a bit far from town but they have everything onsite. They have great bars and restaurants. The pool is wonderful and has a slide and a good poolside bar. The room itself is very clean and has modern furniture. Staff is nice and always helpful.

"Comfy and good location"
The grounds were beautiful as was the beach. The room itself was a bit out dated but who stays in their room when they are visiting Hawaii!! I was there to sleep and that's it so it was fine with me. The bed was comfortable, the furnishings were very beachy and the staff very friendly. This resort was in the perfect location. Pretty much in the middle of the island so 30-45 minutes to visit other parts of the island. Very close to restaurants and shopping.

"Affordable paradise"
I had never been to Kauai'i, so I had no idea what to expect. After reading many reviews, my girlfriend and I decided on the Aston Islander on the beach. It exceeded all expectations. Perfect location, friendly and helpfull staff, beautiful views, and a great room at a low rate. From the moment we arrived, we felt the Aloha spirit. It has a "plantation" feel to it that I wasn't expecting, but I wasn't let down. It's very close to many eateries and shops, which is nice. Eggberts is ok for a quick breakfast, but nothing special. Be sure to hit Harley's for some amazing BBQ, and TC's for fantastic traditional cuisine. Neither will cost you more than $30 for two people, which is a steal in Hawaii. The beach is not ideal for swimming, but it is fantastic for romantic walks, especially at sunrise. Spend the extra money and go for the oceanfront room. You won't regret it. If (when) we go back to Kauai'i, we will be at the Aston Islander on the beach.

"Nice Timeshare resort."
I stayed in 1 bedroom kitchenette suite. Suite was spacious and comfortable. Nice pool. Only bad thing I can point out is they try hard to convince you to attend time share presentation when picking up parking pass. Resort is right next to the ocean but the beach is small and has course beach - not suitable for swimming or sunbathing but OK for walks. Lydgate beach is 5 minute drive away.

"INCREDIBLE"
Our experience was incredible. The hotel is right on the beach and the view from our room incredible. What made everything extraordinary was the staff from the valets, the bartenders, and the people behind the desk. They were beyond friendly and extremely helpful. One of the best hotel experiences we ever had.
