This guest house is a gem of a find for budget travellers. Its on the main street into the centre (and out from the airport), and is a 20 minute walk into the town.
The Guest House itself is clean and bright and decorated in a funky fashion. The rooms are of a good size for a guest house and clean with cable TV. The owners are lovely and helpful and would do anything for you.
Would definitely stay again.

Situated just off the central area this hotel is located in a quiet residential street. It is within walking distance of the main shopping area but, when leaving for town, the journey eventually takes you quite steeply downhill. Therefore, the return journey may necessitate a bus or taxi because some of the route back consists of a fairly demanding uphill walk. The reception staff at the hotel are very friendly and speak excellent English. Moreover, if you have any sort of problem, they are very attentive and deal with matters immediately. Breakfast is adequate, with an emphasis on cereal and salad: both tea and coffee are available. The interior of the hotel tends to be quite dark in places but this is very much in keeping with what I take to be a traditional style of furnishing and decoration. The beds are very comfortable and there are excellent en suite bathroom facilities. My stay there took place in what was obviously the low season and so was noticeably quiet (despite a wedding reception taking place during one evening). I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a pleasant, tranquil and comfortable experience.

From the moment you arrive Jurgis and Dana make you feel like a part of their family. I cannot speak highly enough of the friendliness and warmth of the hosts in this lovely Guest House.
Jurgis is a wealth of local knowledge and can give tips on all the local attractions and events and will even provide transport for a very reasonable charge (usually cheaper than the local taxis). Dana's breakfasts are an absolute delight and were eagerly looked forward to every morning.
If you are willing to fore go the sterile atmosphere of a large hotel and are willing to spend time feeling like a part of a family in a warm home-like atmosphere then this is the place to go!!!
The Guest House is situated a short distance outside the centre of Kaunas but local Taxi-Buses run regularly during the day and the cost of a taxi is quite reasonable if that is more your taste. There is also the ever cheerful and friendly Jurgis to provide a drop off / pick up as well if required.
We stayed for 11 nights after missing out on our usual hotel and are actually quite glad we did as it opened our eyes to this wonderful establishment. We were impressed so much that the Numenas Tour Guest House will now become our 'Usual'.

Arrived in Lithuania for the first time late at night, speaking only English. Front desk was extremely pleasant and recommended restaurants. I loved my room. Leather sofa, comfortable beds and a beautiful bathroom with a big window. Nice bathroom fixtures and a big wooden ledge to store stuff on. The breakfast was very good - everything you would expect. Very convenient location in the heart of old town. Kind of cool decor, but an understated cool. After a side trip to Vilnius I returned to Kaunas for a final night. At my prior request, the front desk gave me my same room back again. All with a smile. It felt like home.
