Hotel was awesome

Liked the hotel, just a little bigger than a bed and breakfast was a pleasurable experience. We were in a deluxe room. had a king sized bed full wrap around leather couches tables desks and whatnot hot tub. was awesome. first day the included breakfast blew my mind they offered to cook omletts or pancakes had and array of fresh fruit yogurt cereal meats cheeses etc in a full spread at a table waiting for us when we came down, only three other rooms had breakfast that day so it was all individual, the second day they had a few more people so it was setup buffet style with most of the same things, but there was enough and enough variety that you could eat for several days and never have the same thing. The restaurant deserves its own 5 start review, personal service, amazing meals beautiful decor, defiantly worth a visit there for an evening meal!! The only drawback is the hotel wasn't in the center of town... but it was only an 8 lita ($3) 5 min cab ride. Wish there was one of these hotels everywhere I went I would defiantly stay there again!!

Impressive hotel with a traditional feel

Location: The Old Town (towards the river). Good for bars and restaurants. English speakers should have no problems as the language is widely understood. Quite a number of old buildings are currently being renovated. Nearby there is a castle/fortification where an archaeological dig was in progress at the time of writing (October '11). There are also many interesting church buildings. Taxis are usually available around/near the Town Hall Square, especially during the evenings, for easy transportation.
Situated just off the central area this hotel is located in a quiet residential street. It is within walking distance of the main shopping area but, when leaving for town, the journey eventually takes you quite steeply downhill. Therefore, the return journey may necessitate a bus or taxi because some of the route back consists of a fairly demanding uphill walk. The reception staff at the hotel are very friendly and speak excellent English. Moreover, if you have any sort of problem, they are very attentive and deal with matters immediately. Breakfast is adequate, with an emphasis on cereal and salad: both tea and coffee are available. The interior of the hotel tends to be quite dark in places but this is very much in keeping with what I take to be a traditional style of furnishing and decoration. The beds are very comfortable and there are excellent en suite bathroom facilities. My stay there took place in what was obviously the low season and so was noticeably quiet (despite a wedding reception taking place during one evening). I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a pleasant, tranquil and comfortable experience.
