Close to Monument Valley

Posted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: Convenient to monument valley
Cons: Staff attitude
Location: Monument Valley is close. There is nothing else to do near by. Very few dining choices in the town.
This hotel is one of only two in Kayenta. It's close to monument valley but the town and hotel lack anything positive to say about them.

We really enjoyed our stay!

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: cleanliness, friendly staff, convenience, the restaurant etc.
Cons: somehow, make your sign more pronounced
Location: Monument Valley was within a half hour drive. A breathtaking must see.
My husband and I just stayed at the Kayenta Monument Valley Inn this past week. We checked in on Saturday and left on Monday. Our room was very comfortable and spotless. Our car was parked right outside of the room so it was convenient to load and unload our luggage. We enjoyed two meals at the restaurant which is beautifully decorated in a Native American motif. It was really nice to know we could get a delicious freshly made meal (the Navajo taco was a huge hit!) without having to go looking for a restaurant. The staff was wonderful as well. We enjoyed chatting with Michele, Sam and Philomena. We would highly recommend that you choose the Kayenta Monument Valley Inn to stay at while enjoying Monument Valley and surrounding areas.

A stopping place

Hotel was great apart from the fact that the dining room was out of action. Not a major problem but a bit inconvenient.

Not bad for one night stay

We were staying overnight before we headed to Monument Valley. A decent stay and with reasonable restaurant. Not many choices at reasonable prices in this reservation town.

We left after 10 minutes !!!

Posted Apr 2, 2015
Made reservation on line while driving to Kayenta. This was the last room available at this establisment . They forgot to mention that the a/c was not working ! We contacted the front desk to request help . They were unable to tell us when anyone would be able to come and help. We waited for about 10 minutes and called the front disk to asked if some one was coming to fix the a/c . Their reply was not helpful . At this point we returned to the front desk and checked out. We went across the street to another hotel !

Watch out for Time Zone(s)

Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Service was good. Room was big clean and quiet for sleeping. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Restaurant open later.
Location: Monument Valley is 20 miles away so it's a great location to start out from in the morning.
Had no issue with the Hotel. If you're arriving late please note the the hotel is on a reserve. The reserve covers four states and as such the reserve does not follow daylight savings time. Because of this when we arrived at the hotel --after a long drive from Tucson-- we found the time was one hour forward from Arizona Daylight Savings time. This may not seem like much to most people but because the restaurant closed at 8:00 it became an issue for us to get settled and get a meal after a long day. The good news was the restaurant did take orders until 8pm and stayed open until the diners were finished. So that was a plus because the food they serve is good.
