“Highly Impressed!”

I was extremely surprised at the cleanliness and overall condition of this hotel. It was quiet too! I have stayed in much more expensive and elaborate hotels and not been nearly as satisfied. I was surprised to find breakfast was included with the room, but it was not as pleasing. Fortunately there was a Perkins immediately nextdoor.

“The price was right”

This hotel was clean (always important to me) and the staff was friendly. My room was cleaned every day and I had plenty of fresh towels. It could use a little cosmetic touchup but nothing major. The pool and the pool area was clean and well maintained and the hot tub was also. It did have a exercise room but there was a pool table in the exercise room that could have been better located somewhere else. I dont think pool players want to see people exercising while they are playing pool and vice versa. The continental breakfast was adequate--juice coffee hot tea and cocoa with waffles, biscuits and gravy, and frozen sausage, omelets and scrambled eggs which were really quite could when heated up. I would stay here again. I was asked when checking out if all was ok which is good because I would have had a chance to voice concerns if I had any.

“Was okay. Probably won't stay there again.”

Not very satisfied when I walked into the lobby to check-in. Smells of some kind of food cooking in the back and the person checking me in barely came from around the wall.

“Spotty wifi”

Internet wifi is very spotty and problematic. A neighboring restaurant had better wifi access.

“Needs updates and cleaned.”

Hotel is badly in need of renovation. Towel bars coming off walls, holes in the sheets, not to mention the small variety of food included for breakfast.

“Clean comfortable room for one night”

Rooms were comfortably simple and clean for the price, but few other amenities. Lobby has a musty smell and is not inviting. No grounds to speak of, only parking spots. Breakfast menu was coffee, juice, waffles, small cinnamon buns and biscuits with gravy. No one there to really tend to the breakfast bar. Did have a small nice indoor pool and hot tub. Had trouble with toilet in room which was fixed immediately.

“Not impressed”

The hotel rooms and hallways were very clean. The noise on the first floor was terrible, especially near the stairs unless you like trying to relax with cattle stampede-like sounds overhead. The continental breakfast was very peculiar. There were hot food options (biscuits and gravy, sausage), but they had to be microwaved as most of the food was in a refrigerator. Also, no fruit or pastries. I did have two platefuls of biscuits/gravy though...it was pretty good. There was regularly nobody working the front desk, so you have to use the phone on the wall to talk to someone. I thought we were getting a good deal as it was the lowest priced chain hotel in town, but probably should be priced even lower. If you just need a place to sleep, this hotel will suffice (ask for 2nd floor though), but if you're looking to kick back, relax and enjoy Kearney, I'd suggest a nicer place.
