Good

All good, bed comfortable, food good ,owners friendly and helpful. It would be helpful if there was coffee or tea making facilities in the room, instead of having to ask for it.

Amazing!!

Posted May 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed 2 nights at Ferndale. Wow! What a place! Jon and his team were wonderful, couldn't do enough for us. Especially Heidi - I could take her home - lovely lady. All the rooms are themed, and the decor is just amazing. Our room overlooked the bay at Keel, such a great location. We would recommend Ferndale (and already have) to anyone who wants to go to Achill Island. Terrific.

Hidden Jewel

If you ever visit Achill, you must stay at this place. The views are stunning but thats just the start! We got the Arabian Nights room and it was UNBELIEVEABLE! The breakfast menu and quality of food would not look out of place in a 5 star hotel and all at a very reasonable price. We cant wait until we go back!

superb views and fantastic food

The hotel was in a lovely location with stunning views. Just 10 mins walk to the pubs and coffee shops. The bedrooms were very different, all themed. We had the Arabian Nights room , could perhaps have done with a bit more lighting .Bed was super and comfy, and the choice a breakfast was huge.Tea and coffee was not in the room but you only had to ask when you needed a drink, and it was there in a few minutes , so not a problem, All in all a lovely few days.
