Nice staff, coffee, meals with a reasonable pricePosted Aug 22, 2013
Pros: nice host pretty cats nice free coffee and tea yummy steak
The lodge is located near the beluga lake. You can see the lake from the restaurant. However, the lodge has two floors, the first floor is semi-basement where is no views instead of some dirty earth and small grass. For a short term travllers, most of time will be spent at view points and just have sleep in the lodge. Therefore it is acceptable for the conditions. The host is very nice and she feeds two pretty cats, Beluga and Peachy. The cats always sleep in a small basket at the front desk in the afternoon, they are friendly. The lodge is friendly to pets so you can take your pets to stay here. There are free coffee and many flavors of tea provided near the door, both the coffee and tea are great. The steak served in the restaurant is wonderful with reasonable price. It is advisable to try the steak although we had dinner 2 hours ahead of the steak. The restaurant close on Sun and Mon.

this hotel is typical of Homer Alaska.Posted Aug 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel had all that I needed. Not fancy, but lots of room.Just a plain no nonsense place. The service was all that was needed and we were treated well with good humor. I would stay there again. Homer is a must see place I think and the hotel fits right into the style of Homer.A reasonable hotel. My daughter and I had our own rooms and t.v.s and that was a plus. All in all a good place to stay.

The hotel was clean and easy to locate. Service was good and it was close to must see sights. The rooms were very small and confining. The morning breakfast was not much, with small selection.
