Nice hotel, easy to find.

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: Location, breakfast, cleanliness
Location: The location was excellent. Easy to find. We explored Homer and enjoyed some good food.
My husband and I were exploring Alaska and decided to spend a couple of days in Homer. It was a good choice. The hotel was very good and location was perfect. We enjoyed the breakfast and wifi as well.

Ok hotel

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Sound proofing
The room was 4 doors down from the bar... Sound proofing could have been a lot better. Breakfast was excellent. Tub backed up during shower, but was fixed the next day.

Nice hotel. Walls are a bit thin. Room clean but could use more lights. Food was good at the Otter Room.

Not a luxury hotel, but perfect for what we needed

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: Price was right and it was clean and comfortable
Cons: Breakfast could be better, but then I suppose that wouldnt be cost effective for the hotel
Location: beautiful beach on the ocean just down the street. We had several bonfires on the beach with our team and the kids loves collecting clam shells.
Took a hockey team to stay in the hotel and it had everything we needed for comfort. Nice beds, micro, fridge, Lg TV and WiFi. We even got to use a conference room to celebrate a players birthday in the evening. The breakfast is just OK, but for the price (free) you cant beat it. it was perfect for a bunch of kids and I didnt mind it either.. All in all our stay was very enjoyable, and we would stay again.

Better than it looks!

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: The quality of the bed and linens, the cleanliness, and the food made it a real bargain.
Cons: It is a nice basic, family friendly hotel. With a bar, in a fishing town. Welcome to Alaska!
Location: Enjoy the beach, the art galleries, and chat with the locals. The ladies in reception were very nice.Walk the harbor!
The Bidarka Inn doesn't impress with it's curb appeal, and it is wise to get a room far from the bar. The room was long and dark, with no view, very basic. But the bed was very comfortable! The linens were top quality, pillows were of excellent quality, it was a great sleep. The breakfast was free and the kids enjoyed it, the entrees were replaced with fresh choices, and the view from the top floor where breakfast was served was very nice.

Pros: Breakfast was very good however we did have to walk outside to get to the dining room area.
Overall, for our one night stay in Homer, it was just fine! There is not much to do in Homer this time of year, but the drive and scenery was beautiful!
