Nothing fancy but very comfortable

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Stayed two nights. A little outdated but clean and comfortable. Easy walking distance to the waterfront and docks. Easy to find on the main thru-street in town. Good price for the area.

Nice place to stay

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Reasonable price.
Location: Convenient location, close to tours available in the town, such as cruise, kayak, fishing.
Harborview is close to the cruise assemble point, but you can really see the harbor. The room condition has a decent size, very clean, and with free wifi. We did not use any services. Overall, it's a nice place to stay for the price you pay. It's by the main road, but Seward is a small place, it's not that noisy at all.

Okay motel

A little expensive for what you get. Loud plumbing. No view of the harbor. Can walk to harbor and tour boats. Helpful staff. Good room darkening drapes. Central location.

Little known, super clean! Pick this one!

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: The location and the newness.
Cons: Snacks please!
Location: Walk a short walk to town, out the back door and two small blocks. In town there are plenty of restaurants, Fishing and cruise companies, shops, etc.
Seems like everyone goes to the other motel in Seward, but this place is a gem. A short walk from the little harbor area but worth it! Our room was small but super clean, accommodations were perfect for us and it was not in the middle of the large crowds crammed into Seward in the summer. (PS, there are no real large crowds in Alaska...this is not Yosemite). There is little food on site, so buy or bring your own if you are a late night snacker. There is a soda machine and some crackers up front, but we were hoping for cookies or ice cream.

Cozy, comfortable camping.

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Location, hospitality, room was sweet and comfortable.
The room was more like a clean, neatly maintained log cabin with a traditional tv, fan. Makes a cozy comfortable camping. Beds were neat, coffee maker, hair dryer, internet is available, no phone lines. Use your cells. It was fun! Nice view of mountains, in the front. No back view of harbor, no big deal, made place for a church. Owner is very friendly. We have a teen and tween, they loved it.

Decent little place

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Good place to stay if you are on a budget. Hotel staff was friendly. Walls are very thin and the showers are noisy. You also get quite a bit of street noise. Ask for room 30, it's the only room with a view but it's a good view!

Excellent hotel and home base

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, comfort
Location: Harbor, bakery, Ray's restaurant
The hotel was close to the harbor (2 blocks) which is the part of town to be nearest. There wasn't a view from our room, but might be from another room. The gal at the front desk was wonderful! Thank you!

Not as nice as shown in the picture.

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: nice personnel
Cons: housekeeping and advertising
The name is also deceiving. We expected to have a view of the harbor but that was not the case. There is about half of mile between the hotel and the harbor.

Expensive but basic

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Hmm. It was clean
Cons: They could improve what they provide
The inn was clean and everything was functioning. Check in was fine. The room was very basic - no fridge, no shampoos, no restaurant, no breakfast, no biscuits, no microwave - basically a bed and some towels. Now it's Seward, and everything is expensive, but this was the most expensive hotel we stayed at anywhere in Alaska, and it was one of the most basic (and no harbour view). You may not be able to do better, but I'd try to if you can.
