Right where to bePosted Sep 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was right on the water. Walking distance to several great restaurants and the cruise we had signed up for. The breakfast was filling and a good variety. If I ever get back to Seward I would stay here again.

Beautiful view of the harbor and courteous staff.Posted Sep 21, 2013
Pros: Great staff, excellent location, nice rooms and a good breakfast buffet included in the price.
Location: Near the harbor and old town with access to fishing and tours. 10 minutes from the Kenai Nation Park with the Exit Glacier and fantastic hiking.
This is definitely the best hotel in Seward in terms of location and quality of the rooms. When I checked in they were very friendly and immediately upgraded my room without asking. I will come back again.

A very pleasant stayPosted Sep 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
The most outstanding feature of the hotel is the staff. They were uniformly friendly, helpful and polite. They were very warm and made a point to make us feel at home. They had great recommendtions for restaurants and attractions. My second favorite thing about the stay was the warm milk and cookies inthe evening. This was especially inviting and appreciated as the weather was pouring rain and a bit chilly. The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower pressure was very good and there was lots of hot water. The rooms were farily quiet and the view was amazing! We had a harborside room that looked out over the boats, the mountains and the glacier! Spectacular! The only negative was the hot tub jets were barely working. All said, a very good value and a very pleasant stay!

Great Place to visitPosted Sep 5, 2013
We started our week in alaska with visiting Seward at the beginning. Great restaurants close to the hotel and tour and fishing boats were within walking distance.

A bit of luxury by the Seward MarinaPosted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were quite happy with our stay at the HIE Seward. The location can't be beat as it is next door to the marina and most of Seward's restaurants, gift shops, and tour offices. Because it is on the water, be prepared to enjoy an overwhelming smell of shellfish whenever you leave the front door! The complimentary breakfast is OUTSTANDING, with an impressive variety of options: eggs, sausage, biscuits, oatmeal, fresh fruit, pancakes, and so forth! Our only minor complaint was that the room's thermostats either weren't working properly, or we could not figure out how to use them properly. If the air conditioner turned on, then it stayed on until you manually shut it off; same with the heat. I woke up to an 85 degree room in the middle of the night.

Good hotel , Great locationPosted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Walking distance to National Park Boat tour and several restaurants. The better restaurants are about a mile south on 4th street by the Alaska SeaLife Center. Nice views from pool area.

The hotel is next to a small but famous fishing market and two very good restaurants. Major Marin Cruise is within 5 minutes walking distance. Safeway is in walking distance as well.
