The owner was so nice to me and helped me with a request. The room was very cozy. The linen was bright white and clean. The Bathroom was spotless. It’s a good pick if you come to Homer.

Wonderful stay at Pioneer Inn
We had a wonderful stay at Pioneer Inn Downtown. Perfect location, it was easy to park, to walk to restaurants, Bishop's Beach Park, and to a local playground. The room was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. Beautiful views and great outdoor space for our kids. Lila was so welcoming and even had toys ready for our children. Thank you so much Lila, we hope we will be back in the future!

Great Family Owned Hotel In Homer
The Pioneer Inn is a nice and convenient place to stay at in Homer, AK. This is a family owned hotel and the service was fantastic. Easy parking, great area of town, quiet, and some beautiful views of Kachemak Bay. The owner(Lila) has great recommendations for where to eat and explore in Homer. I enjoyed my three night stay at the Pioneer Inn. I hope to be again next year!

We had a relaxed stay. Lila was an amazing hostess who responded quickly to questions and texts. Our room was clean and well supplied. The flowers around the inn were lovely, and it has a gorgeous view of the Bay. It is a location close to many shops and restaurants.

We recently had a great stay at the Pioneer Inn. Our room was very clean and had a nice, well stocked kitchen. The day of our arrival the owner communicated with us to let us know when the room would be ready. She checked in with us after our arrival to see if we needed anything. I would definitely stay there again.

The view was amazing and the owner went out of her way to help us plan our best vacation. The room was great and had a small well stocked kitchen and full cable. Walk to restaurants and the beach.

Comfy stay in Homer
This place is so comfy and cozy with great wifi and dedicated work space. The owner of the hotel visited us and gave us great info on local walking trails and restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay here next time we’re in Homer!

When we got to homer the owner met us, somehow our room got overbooked but she went way above and beyond to find another room for my daughter and kids, The room was cozy and comfortable, enjoyed our stay at this place!!

A very “home” type location without actually having to be inside someone’s home. Location is excellent for walking to just about anywhere in Homer. Great casual and fine dining restaurants and bars within blocks. It’s in the heart of the “Arts” district, so lots of shopping for local custom art and jewelry. The room itself had a coffee maker and mini fridge, desk, several suitcase stands and an area for hanging clothing. The large platform bed and good sized room allowed for me to sort and reorganize my suitcases in comfort. There is an apartment sized bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Great for everything you’d need in the heart of town. The hosts were excellent at responding to questions about recommendations in the area, and provided a list of nearby dining options upon arrival. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay
I had a great stay here. It is a small, unassuming place but really clean and comfortable. I had excellent communication before I arrived with simple instructions. The room itself had everything I needed. The location is really close to restaurants. Best of all the room was dark and quiet leading to a good night of sleep.

The place to stay in Homer
We had a short two-day trip to Homer and were fortunate to stay at the Pioneer Inn. It is centrally located to the shops and restaurants in the downtown area, with nearby walking trails, and just a 5 minute drive to the Homer Spit. We had an upstairs room with a small table in the front and bedroom in the back. Through the front window there was a great view of the ocean. It was spotlessly clean and felt very comfortable. Homer is a great small town in Alaska, and the Pioneer Inn is highly recommended if you are staying in the area.

LAYLA WAS THE BEST, MOST ACCOMODATING HOST! WE NEEDED TO LEAVE A DAY EARLYM AT VERY SHORT NOTICE. SHE WAS ABLE TO RENT OUT ONE OF OUR 2 ROOMS TO HELP US RECOVER THAT PORTION OF OUR PAYMENT. The Pioneer was very nicely located, and the accommodations were great. Well kept, and quiet with stunning views. Much more fitting to the surroundings than a hotel room. What sets this place apart though is the innkeeper, Leila. She was very accommodating to some special needs that arose from extreme weather and changes of plans. She was available, responsive, and generous with her time. We felt more like a guest in her house without it being intrusive, very well done. She event lent some bear spray for a hike to the unprepared. Fair prices. Overall, our favorite night on the peninsula.
