Beautiful beach side resortPosted Dec 5, 2013
Pros: Setting, room comfort and staff
Cons: The evening meals were included in price but quality was not great
Location: Great spot for a relaxing beach side holiday. Location is secluded and great for a romantic getaway
Set in a lovely location, on a wide clean sandy beach front

luxury away from the over touristed areasPosted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Brand new hotel, management is very hands on and staff is very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful, well maintenanced and very clean with all the perfect qualities for a luxurious escape. Beachfront is the nicest in the north side of Zanzibar , walking distance from the busier area with less beachfront.

Best Beach in Zanzibar!Posted Aug 2, 2013
Pros: Beautiful new hotel, great beach, wonderful staff!
Cons: Food in the restaurant was just average
Location: Beautiful beach for walks, nice village nearby for a real taste of Africa
Beautiful new hotel right on the best beach in Zanzibar. The food in the restaurant was just average but the service, rooms, décor, etc. more than made up for this.

Top notch resort on best beach in ZanzibarPosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: Food was amazing
Cons: leaving to go home
Location: best white sand beach in all of Zanzibar with almost no tide, so you can swim around the clock
Excellent! A new lovely appointed resort on the best beach I have been on in Zanzibar thus far. The resort is new (Jan 2013) and still has some growing pains, but the staff are quick to serve your needs when something does not work just right. The GM (Ram) was extremely helpful, courteous and attentive our needs. My wife, daughter and her friend had private Villa that opened to the beach, the room was amazing and it was a nice treat to be greeted with fresh fruit and ice cold Champagne, our private butler Peter was nothing less than amazing, anticipating our every need almost automatically without being "in our face" and allowing us to truly relax. I live in Dar and will be returning to this resort again when my son visits later in the year, As for my daughter she said it was the best vacation she has every been on!

Arguably the best hotel in Zanzibar!Posted Jul 7, 2013
Great location. Best beach on the island, white sand & crystal clear water. Excellent food. Friendly staff. No complaints. Definitely the best hotel in Kendwa and possibly the best beach hotel in all of Zanzibar.

beautiful, I recommend it!Posted Apr 16, 2013
Pros: The huge pool with jacuzzi
Cons: Garden view rooms are far from pool and restaurant. The water was not included in the dinner.
Location: the most beautiful beach, amazing sun set as the hotel is in the west side of the island.
I've visited few places in Zanzibar and Kendwa is the most beautiful of all. The Gold Zanzibar hotel is wonderful, the staff is very kind as well as the managers. I was there in the low season and this made even more beautiful and exclusive our stay there. The pool was great fun for me and my 3 year old girl. The pool is huge and has massaging water jets with the most amazing sea view. The beach has white and clean sand. The jelly fishes on the sea made quite impossible to have relaxed sea baths but it was beautiful to take long walks and actually to observe the jelly fishes, crabs, fishes and all kind of shells and starfishes. I've booked a half board which I recommend as on the beach there are several small and lovely restaurants to try for lunch. Remember that the half board do not include any drinks nor even water at dinner, keep this in mind as you have to pay them extra and are quite expensive. In general I give 5 stars to this hotel, do not miss it if you are in Zanzibar!
