Stayed with my young daughter and was a clean and friendly hotel. Swimming pool was well used by us and no complaints at all! Buffet breakfast, tasty with lots of choice. Nice hotel and would happily stay again

This hotel was convenient for both the shopping outlet and Curious Brewery which we came to visit. A lovely comfortable hotel with friendly very helpful staff.

The Weatherspoons of hotels. Food was average to poor, both rooms had mould, ( we had to change rooms as first one had a bed with stains on it) staff overworked (too few for size of hotel/restaurant) parking was tight (small spaces) and generally felt unkempt. Would not be staying again. On a positive note the room As quiet and the bed was comfortable.

Overall the hotel is good value for money and conveniently situated if you have a car. It is a very busy hotel with conferences and thus this led to a shortage of coffee mugs for their own guests on one day. Although a dog friendly hotel, don't expect to be eating breakfast with your loved pooch, anywhere near the restaurant, especially if there is a conference going on. Considering there was a section of the restaurant that was a long way from any cooked food, this could have been opened up for customers with their dogs, instead on one day we had to eat our breakfast near the entrance doors of the hotel! Spa/swimming is available but attention is required on ensuring that lockers are not broken and floors are as clean as possible.

The only issues we had was when i booked it, i was garainteed an early check in due to a wedding, we weren't allowed to check in early and you aparantly don't do that. And then the mattress was awful, literally felt like we were laying on cardboard with a tiny bit of padding, both me and my wife struggled to sleep on it.

Very few guests. Heating turned off so very cold. Restaurant and reception so cold we wore our coats. Came from new Zealand invited family and were embarrassed at the place. Plates unheated food pnlu just warm. This realty needs to be addressed

Disappointed
We are regulars since 2017 and this was our worse experience. Some of the towels were dirty. The cosmetics not enough for one person. No handwash. During the breakfast- dirty tables, when tried to make of coffee some of the coffee cups were dirty- lipstick marks. Compared with previous years - quite poor.

A Great Stay
We enjoyed our stay and even managed to take a swim in the loverly warm pool. Followed by a drink and a loverly meal. The staff were brilliant and from booking in to waitress service.

No vodka at the bar
The hotel was clean but exceptionally busy. The bar took ages to get served and ran out of cocktails & vodka. Service was very slow in the restaurant too. Staff were friendly just slow.

I find the toilet bend has not been cleaned for years for the house keepers should have been more thorough and not turned a blind eye to this situation!

Good but not great.
Nice hotel but a few housekeeping issues. The two bottles of complimentary mineral water were half empty having been enjoyed by the previous guests. Complimentary bathroom toiletries consisted of a thumb sized bottle of shampoo and that’s it.

Unfortunately there was a security issue with the card we used to pay, scammers tried to fleece the card the following day but had knowledge we had stayed at a hotel the night before. Can only think is connected to the booking we made. We had great stay however reception could do with a bit of training, stood there for ages twice without even being acknowledged, just a 'hi, I'll be with you in a minute' would suffice.

Is a nice place with many positives Positives: lobby area and bars etc are all updated and nice. Staff all seemed nice. Pool is nice but one family/ disabled changing room with lockers in there is a little silly as many can’t get to their stuff as other families in there. Bed for our child was nice. Good space in rooms Good options for hot food at breakfast but sausages were not great quality and overcooked. Downsides: Hallways and rooms are a bit dated. Flushes on toilets are way too weak!! I know they are trying to save water but not good enough if you get what I mean. Continentals stuff at breakfast was mostly gone when we arrived at 8:30am Overall, it served it purpose for a one night stay but wouldn’t want to spend much longer.
