Convenient hotel for visiting familyPosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Breakfast (especially porridge), swimming pool
Cons: Scrambled eggs were very overcooked. We would have preferred a walk-in shower to a step-into-the-bath one.
Location: Rochester Cathedral, Castle and High Street. Chatham Dockyard and Dockside Outlet Retail Park. Maidstone Mote Park. Aylesford Priory.
Family in Rochester, wanted to stay close but not under their feet, 3 of us (one nearly 90 years old) found everything we needed at Bridgewood Manor - no stairs to reach our rooms, good breakfast buffet, friendly staff, and the swimming pool was the icing on the cake.

Very warm welcomePosted Jan 29, 2014
Pros: Welcome, great breakfast and super helpful staff
Cons: A bit of info in whether dog could be in bar, restaurant and where the nearest dog poo bin might be!
Location: Shorne woods - a great day out
Great to be able to take our well behaved dog.

Rural hotel near Cinque PortsPosted Jan 25, 2014
The hotel is conveniently situated for Rochester and Chatham and very comfortable. The staff were consistently friendly and efficient. The hotel has an excellent gym/pool/spa. The food and service in the restaurant was most satisfactory and the price reasonable.

We stayed for an Xmas party. The room had no A/C and was far too warm. The food was ok, not great, and the DJ!! Not seen a DJ kill a party mood Like that in years.

Dog friendly, great staff but breakfast was poorPosted Nov 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had booked this hotel yo be near to the dockyards. We were advised it was walking distance, it was 3 miles away. The room booked was a twin but we were allocated a double. We were able to move rooms to a quieter place away from lifts and function areas. The hotel is clean but in need of revamp. Dogs are not allowed in public areas and must remain in the room which was okay. The breakfast was buffet style and guests were eating in just their dressing gowns and slippers, a bit chavvy. There should be some form of dress code for dinning as it put me off eating. Breakfast should consist of freshly cooked to order English but the buffet style was poor quality and very disappointing.

Very nice hotel, good service and friendly staff. Good to find a hotel that doesn't charge for WiFi in the rooms.
