It was just r an overnight stay. Great for the money. Staff was a bit occupied with other things besides guests. But I wasn't there for the staff anyway.

The first hotel room smelled like smoke (They told us this "happens all the time" in the non-smoking rooms...what?!) and the second room we got was musty and the floor was wet in place. The breakfast was good enough and the receptionist did her best.

Don't eat the breakfast

We were just passing through Kent and stayed there for one night. In a pinch it wasn't bad it was fairly clean and convenient. The continental breakfast was terrible, they even messed up the Coffee, Orange Juice and toast. The walls were paper thin too, when our neighbor took a shower the pipes were extremly loud in our room.

Pros: convenient location to the freeway
Cons: better curb appeal
Location: convenient to parks and university
It met my expectations for the price and fact that it's an economy hotel. The room was clean and well kept.

Pros: Proximity to Kent State University. Price.
Stayed at this hotel for an orientation at Kent State. Close in proximity to the campus and the price was reasonable. Showers were awesome!

Very noisy (late into night and early morning). No fitted sheets. Ran out of cups for coffee and no attendent around to help. Toilet looked like it had been used. No kleenex.

Walked in and found dirty socks left behind door. Sink handle detached when pulled up to turn on water. Coffeemaker sticky so ran just water through 3 times to clean before deciding not to go through with making coffee.

Pros: NONE
Cons: Didn't want to come back to this place again.
Door frame coming loose when open the front door. Dirty carpet. Bad picture on TV. Breakfast in a small crowded dining room in front of the desk office. The internet ad said the hotel have hot tubs, but it means they only have hot tub in ONE room for the whole hotel.

Will never stay at a Days Inn ever again

Pros: I didn't like anything. I would rate it a 0 if I could. I would like a refund for my horrible experience I was put through.
Cons: This hotel should not be listed on Expedia
Location: Have nothing to say.
Lobby was ok, but when I pulled up to the room the condition of several room doors showed signs of possible forced entry. Didn't have time to check out the room very good until hours later, after returning from our appointments. It was after 10pm when we checked the room out. One of the beds had not been changed from previous occupants. Found a half eaten roll of ante-acids under the sheets, along with traces of human hair! Called the office and the "manager said he would bring clean sheets, blankets, etc. I asked for two sets, I wanted to know that they were both clean. He brought 2 sheets, 1 blanket, 1 comfortable & 2 pillow cases; nothing for the other bed. He returned with bedding for the other bed, but they were torn, had holes and weren't the right size. I didn't want him to change the beds, so I did it myself. Found that none of the pillows had protective covers on them and they were FILTHY!!!! I through them on the floor, I didn't want them on the bed.... Also found that the security lock on the door had been broken off the door. The carpet was so dirty that our feet were black. The manager said he would put us in another room. This was after 11pm and I couldn't imagine that any of the rooms could be any better. I would have checked out and tried to find another hotel, but since it was so late and I was not familiar with Akron and my daughter was with me I was scared to go any place. Needless to say I got very little sleep because of this.
