Dog friendly hotel

Posted May 5, 2015
Pros: Dog friendly.
Cons: Bed could be more comfortable.
Convenient, comfortable, clean and dog friendly. Good value for money, easy to book. Have used this one before and would use again as it's convenient for visiting family & friends in Kent.

Avoid like the Plague!

Posted May 5, 2015
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: See experience
This particular hotel was without a doubt the worst I have stayed at. The room was in an extremely poor condition. There were red pen marks along the wall in the room. The spoons left on the side for making coffee were unclean. There was a large amount of mould on the ceiling in the bathroom as well as mould in the cracks on the tiles. There was rust along the top of the shower curtain rail. The shower itself was poor with both myself and my partner finding it hard to find a warm temperature. There was no brush to clean the toilet with should we have needed to. There were two toilet rolls in the holder both of which were near enough empty on arrival as well as a box of tissues in the bathroom which had a whole 1 tissue left in! The bed itself was also completely unacceptable in my opinion and neither myself or my partner was able to get a good nights sleep as it was simply a thin mattress on top of an extremely springy bed frame causing us to roll into one another as it would dip substantially when any weight was on it. While I by no means was expecting a 5 star luxury hotel, after paying £60 I was however expecting a reasonably comfy bed and at the very least a clean room. I have paid a lot less for a room at IBIS as well as Premier Inn before and both hotels were substantially better than yours. Upon looking on trip advisor at the hotel it is clear that this is not an isolated incident as several other people have also reported that the room was dirty and mouldy.

Stayed here several times recently which indicates I'm more than happy. Staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. Rooms are more than adequate, very spacious, bed was very comfortable.

Adequate for one night. Rooms are basic, receptionist friendly but nothing to do in evening.

Don't worry about breakfast

Posted Feb 5, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: narrow staircase and corridors
Location: Quite a lot south of Maidstone for its name.
Cold and snowy. No advice about where to park safely. Breakfast voucher tried to be sold to me, but in the morning no one was on reception to buy the voucher. Went to restaurant and no one was eating there at 8.15 in the morning - a lot had food from an adjacent outlet. I just got a bacon bap and took it back to my room to eat with a cup of coffee.
