Lovely hotel near centre

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Great hotel, amazing breakfast, wonderful swimming pool, etc. BUT I hardly got any sleep it was so noisy. People were so loud walking down the corridor into their rooms. The worst was at 4am when a load of boys/men were obviously coming back from a club or something and they woke my husband and I up with such a shock. They talked really loudly, banged their doors, were laughing, etc. Because of this I cannot recommend the hotel or come back and stay again because I felt dreadful the next day having had very little sleep.

Nice relaxing weekend apart from the in the pool!

Posted Feb 3, 2015
The hotel was comfortable and our room was clean. The only downside to the hotel was that the pool and spa was open to members of the public not just hotel guests. At one point I was sitting in the jacuzzi and there was a small child in there with an adult and was swimming around! I had to ask her to stop get child from swimming in the jacuzzi! Also beware at the weekend there are mother and child sessions and swimming lessons in the pool so some of it is sectioned off for that.

Only stayed for the weekend. Few pubs around would highly recommend the chilten hundred. The hotel was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were good clean and tidy. And there was a good choice of food for breakfast.

Directions from M20 could have been so easy

Posted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: On arrival, access was easy except that security gate instructions could have been more straightforward
Cons: Only as above
Location: Our visit was only to attend a funeral so other activities were not applicable.
Direction from M20 could have been " Exit 7 Junction southwards. Turn right at first opportunity and hotel is on right". Room 111 Bed creaked but otherwise very comfortable. Very pleasant experience.

Wedding party of my son and new daughter-in-law

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: Banqueting and business facilities good.
Cons: See remarks about heating, decorations, etc.
Location: Not used
Hotel very pleasing in appearance, although some paintwork in guestrooms looks tired and needs attention; - public areas extremely cold (did hit a cold spell, but they should have been prepared!) No lift, and this caused difficulty - I am over 80. Advertise free internet - but no computers available to use and our age-group do not all have smartphones! They did try to please!

Diasappointing

I always stay at Hiltons but this experience was very poor. Dirty room, heater and toilet not working properly! Unpleasant experience overall.
