Friendly Hotel

Posted May 23, 2014
Pros: It was a nice walk into town. Not too far away.
Cons: The only thing that could be improved, is the toaster. I don't like burnt toast.
Location: Near enough to bus stops. Plenty taxis. We walked into town a lot. The lovely weather made a difference. My daughter lives in Ashford.
My Granddaughter, My Great Granddaughter and myself, really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Good hotel close to Eurostar station in Ashford

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: The staff were very friendly, the rooms were well appointed and it was great value. We loved watching rabbits playing and eating grass in the gardens.
Cons: we had stayed at other Holiday Inns that had fee wi-fi included but for the cheap rate, add-ons can be afforded
Location: We have stayed here because it is close to family and also to the Ashford International Train station for catching the Eurostar to Paris.
We have stayed twice now at this hotel. It is great value for the traveller.

handy for Eurotunnel

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: location, comfort
Cons: nothing comes to mind.
Location: 20 mins from Eurotunnel.
using satnav soon found hotel. parking easy. , rooms were perfectly adequate, comfortable beds, good bathroom. we chose to have dinner at the nearby Harvester which was very busy but worth it. Next morning set off on short journey to Eurotunnel where we had breakfast and called in duty free. all good.

A night in Ashford at the Holiday Inn Express

Posted May 11, 2014
Pros: I felt that the reception staff were particularly helpful.
Cons: A lift would be a definite advantage to older people or those with large young families but otherwise it was fine.
Location: The hotel was in a pleasant location although on a main road. There had been an effort to make it feel welcoming.
I stayed at the above hotel in Ashford in order to attend a Christening the following day. The hotel was ideal for an overnight stay and very convenient to the venue we were attending. The rooms were clean and the staff attentive.

Work plus family trip

Pros: Location
Cons: Bed comfort.
Location: National Trust lighthouse at Dover, Canterbury and the location of small pie conflict near the coast.
Great place to stop and explore the area at a reasonable price.

Had booked two rooms, both with double beds and a sleeper sofa, but were given two rooms with only double beds and no sofas. After talking with the receptionist, were given one room with a sofa, but never got the other room changed. At check-in was told that breakfast would be an extra charge, but had booked the rooms to include breakfast and had to show my confirmation email. Had requested a crib in the room and had to remind them to bring it up as it wasn't in the room when we arrived. The restaurant and breakfast was good, as well as the wait staff.
