“Wonderful stay while at Kent University”

The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. My room was exceptionally clean. No complaints and it was just minutes from the university.

“Good Kent State Hotel”

Good hotel, nice friendly people, new (ish) building, very clean. Helpful front desk as well. Broadband (free) was awful and kept dropping out, apart from that, all was superb. I took the extra sized (king bed suite) and found the space very good. Would recommend this place, you do need a car to get around from here but then, that goes for most places in USA really! Also got a nice small pool and gym. The gym could have done with another bit of equipment or two but was adequate to do a little light work.

The room was very clean and the sheets were crisp and clean. Breakfast had a lot of wonderful choices. The staff couldn't have been any friendlier.

Definitely the nicest hotel in the Kent, OH area. Good service, cleanliness, and complimentary breakfast. Spacious rooms. Price is worth it.

just fine for a one night stay, however, I do like my checkout to be a little later than 11am.

Kent doesn't have a whole lot of choice in hotels, so it was nice that this one was clean and well-maintained. I didn't eat the free breakfast, but it looked as nice as any I have encountered. The entrance to the hotel is a new road, which did not have a sign. I missed it the first time. All in allt, it was a pleasant stay.

“holiday kent state”

my wife and i stayed at the holiday inn on 2/17-19 while we were attending a kent state track meet for my step son. our room had a king sized bed in what i thought was a large and clean room on the 3rd floor. the entire hotel was clean and decorated well. our breakfast with pancakes, eggs and biscuits and gravy was a welcome over the traditional muffins and juice that most hotels provide.

“Not the best place to Stay”

Doing floor exercises in the room first morning, I noticed the splash stains on bottom of the full length mirror and from the doorknob down (almost like spilled coffee) So not as clean as I like. Pleasant decor though. Surprised to find that there were no options for pay per view on TV and so my one night in that I thought I could rent a movie was not possible. The staff didn't know how to operate the TV in the main breakfast... oh and breakfast.... dreadful! The hardboiled eggs seemed to have a very bad tasted to me. ( Didn't like the idea that someone had already peeled them!) And as someone looking for healthier options, one morning they only put out white bread for toast. And of course the obiigatory sweet stuff. For fresh fruit there were only bananas... no oranges.So it was skim milk and raisin bran every morning for me. My husband , who is not picky was not pleased either. The workout room was good and I never had to fight for the treadmill each day. Thank goodness for that because there was only one. Wouldn't choose this particular hotel again, although other Holiday Inn Express places have been very good.
