Good Location Near Dover

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: Easy Location
Cons: Rooms really need a makeover! Very dismal and gloomy - need cheering up. Also bar area needs to be a lot more welcoming - again cheering up.
Stayed overnight - have stayed numerous times before. Staff very pleasant on reception and helpful. Disappointed with meal from bar in evening - had to send back. My daughter was happy with her meal. Windows very dirty and grubby need a good clean!

schön aber mit Macken

Posted Mar 7, 2015

Nice hotel as stop over before ferry crossing

Posted Feb 21, 2015
This is a good friendly hotel, ideal for stop over before ferry crossing. Room we had was nicely presented, and fine for 2 adults and 2 children. We only found the kettle as we were leaving, as it was in a drawer under the TV. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Efficient and Convenient

Posted Feb 10, 2015
I used this place as a two night stopover to explore the area. Dover Castle in particular. Like all of these kinds of chain hotels what it lacks in character and location it makes up for in bullet proof efficiency and reliability. Would I stay there again? Yes.

Friendly staff, hot rooms.

Posted Feb 1, 2015
The public areas, such as the bar and dining areas were very hot, making it uncomfortable to spend any time talking with friends. The rooms were clean but again very hot and as i was on the ground floor did not feel safe to leave my window open all night. I did have a free standing fan but was far too loud. I was left with the choice of too warm or too loud, result being not much sleep

A nice stay in a nice hotel

Posted Jan 27, 2015 on Hotels.com
We stayed just for one night during January. The public areas of the hotel are smart, well maintained and very pleasant. The room was small and basic but spotlessly clean and perfectly adequate for one night's stay. Whilst we were there, there was a wedding in progress but we didn't hear anything in our room which was a bonus. In the morning we had breakfast which frankly was a little disappointing. The bacon and sausages were dried up and the poached eggs were watery. The coffee was hot and brown but that is about all that could be said about it. For over £10 each I would expect a better standard of food. All in all I would return to this hotel if I was ever in the area again but would avoid the breakfast.

Great Stop off Hotel

Posted Jan 25, 2015 on Hotels.com
Bit of a last minute booking, but have stayed here a few times now when visiting family in Dover. The hotel is excellent for the price; clean rooms, good sized beds, great tv service. There are a couple of issues, with limited plug-sockets and their location not the best, beds coming away from the wall, mould around the windows, but generally a great little place to stay.

Good but far from town center

Its in a Quiet place. Its a nice place to stay if you have your own transport. Its far from town center. Room was nice and clean but small. Its value for money. Breakfast was nice.
