Friendly and competent staff.Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Well managed and keen to please.
Cons: The clarity of road access.
Location: The location is not Dover but some 3 miles from Dover!
Entrance from main road needs better sign indicators My wife and I had a very good experience. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. During our 4day stay our room was well serviced. The breakfasts were excellent. Checkout was fast and efficient.

Overnight stayPosted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Pleasant staff. Nearness to the Ferryport,. Good food.
Location: It is in a pleasant location. We did not explore locally as we were there simply to catch the ferry across the Channel
The perfect place to relax the night before the Channel crossing to Calais. Staff were helpful, attentive and the hotel is only 15 minutes from the Ferryport. Ideal.

Would be fine if you could get in!!Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Never got the chance to sample
Cons: Booking arrangements and contact with guests who have paid in advance.
Location: Nicely out of the town/ port.
On arrival 7 weeks after booking and pre paying for our room we were told that the room were not available. No warning or contact given. The receptionist passed us onto another Dover hotel back in the port. There was a wedding celebration in the Ramada - I hope they were not bumped off to another location! Unable to rate the rooms or facilities.

Out of TownPosted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful front desk staff
Cons: Out-dated rooms. The "pub" had no service--had to "look" for it...
Location: Nice pub within walking distance, also McDonalds and, what we call in the states "Tiger Mart" at the Esso station. Otherwise, there is Nothing nearby
Nice, if a little out-dated hotel. Staff was always trying to be helpful, but really didn't know anything about the buses. I read a comment before booking, and it is true...this hotel is way out of town. You can walk to the bus, but it is a bit of a walk; if you want a cab (taxi) you can have them call for one, they won't be there on there own. No matter how much of a pain I made myself, they were always very helpful/pleasant...I would stay there again.

Convenient for Dover , yet quiet situationPosted Aug 8, 2014
We much appreciated the use of the wheelchair provided by the hotel , as we had a 94-year-old relative with us in the car , which had no space for a wheelchair . We attended a wedding in Dover and the local taxi firm was able to take the wheelchair on board , making the journey easier for the relative .
