Ideal to stop off at before catching the ferryPosted May 27, 2015
Pros: Convenience of being within a few minutes of the port and that it is up to a reasonable standard .
Cons: Service in the bar / dining area . We were waiting an inordinately long time for our food because a coach party in the restaurant took precedence .
Location: Very near port , nothing near by to do , but then Dover is not a cultural or entertainment hub .
Check in was smooth, the front desk staff incredibly helpful and polite .

Brief stopoverPosted May 5, 2015
Helpful staff Bar soft drinks pricey at £2.20 for small coke! Major marquee event meant parking was fraught on arrival fairly late in the evening and the noise didn't stop till midnight? Marquee appears permanent feature so demand quiet room when booking at the weekend Otherwise friendly helpful and efficient

Nice hotelPosted May 5, 2015
My overall experience was good. Although it was a nice place to stay I would say it was more a *** than a **** experience. There was a limited amount of space in the bedroom space, the bathroom was small and furniture very basic. Also for a **** hotel I would expect to have a mini fridge in the room. There grounds were very nice and we'll looked after.

Very good restaurant and helpful staff. Used the hotel for an overnight stay pie or to ferry crossing.

Good Location Near DoverPosted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: Easy Location
Cons: Rooms really need a makeover! Very dismal and gloomy - need cheering up. Also bar area needs to be a lot more welcoming - again cheering up.
Stayed overnight - have stayed numerous times before. Staff very pleasant on reception and helpful. Disappointed with meal from bar in evening - had to send back. My daughter was happy with her meal. Windows very dirty and grubby need a good clean!

A few issuesPosted Mar 19, 2015 on Hotels
Bed was very soft and the light in entrance of my room did not work. The air condition would not turn from cool to hot, it kept saying unable to change.
