Lovely hotel near city centre - large comfy rooms all i needed for great stay, loved the food and free wifi

“A pleasant stay”

Essentially a pub/restaurant that added a lodging wing a couple of decades ago. Well integrated. Quiet in the evening, except for people walking to their cars. The parking is behind the hotel but the lot entrance (from the front) is directly off a round-about, not a street. Can be confusing.

“Friendly staff, but rather tired décor”

Although small, the room I was offered was clean and reasonably comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and were happy to offer advice about sight-seeing and experiencing the city. The hotel has a bar and a carvery restaurant which offers large reasonably-priced portions, albeit in a slightly-tired-seeming horse-brasses-on-the-walls dining room. The walk from the hotel to the city centre is approximately ten minutes, and twenty to the university.

“Well Done, Victoria Hotel”

A very friendly hotel that was relaxed and within easy walking distance of Canterbury city centre. The room was very good and everything worked and was clean. The bar is welcoming and you can get very decent inexpensive bar food or use the hotel restaurant which was very popular....so food must be good! The car park is large and my car was safe. I would gladly go back to this hotel!

“Free parking!”

Adequate without being luxurious. 10 minute walk from town centre. We had a very quiet room. Free car parking is an added bonus in Canterbury. Pleasant stay.
