The Dingle Benner's hotel was conveniently located and perfect for our one-night stay in Dingle. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

Lovey hotel with only one puzzle piece missing

Posted Oct 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
Dingle Benners Hotel is a really nice, comfortable, old styled in the best kind of way hotel in a covenient location in the lovely seaside towne of Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was better than fine, the lounge and bar areas cozy with well kept old styled furnishings, and the full Irish breakfast good and more than I could eat. I have only one negative point to make about this lovely hotel - WIFI! In this day and age, we've all come to expect it throughout a hotel of this quality, and not just in "public areas". If I can get a similarly priced (as per local currencey rates at any given time) room at a similarly rated hotel in Bogata, Columbia with WIFI reception on the top floor of an 18 story hotel, I can't for the life of me understand why Benners wouldn't shell out a few extra quid to buy a few more routers to outfit a 4 story hotel that is up to 21st Century tech standards and expectations. Otherwise, I would gladly and happily stay at Benners again and hope that if I have the opportunity to visit Dingle again, I'll have the time for more than one night's stay in a high quality hotel like Benners with WIFI reception available in my room.

A great choice for Main Street Dingle

Posted Oct 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
We had such a lovely experience at the Dingle Benners Hotel. The location is fantastic and the staff was kind and helpful. We were only staying one night as we passed through Dingle and were so pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade because we were on our honeymoon. It made the stay that much more special - the hotel is beautiful, the room was spacious and comfortable and the common areas of the hotel are incredibly inviting. A great place to stay in Dingle!

We had a wonderful room in the old part with tall windows facing the street and a four poster bed. Very charming

Nice place in a great location!

Beautiful old style hotel in a great part of town. Staff are super friendly and helpful and the rooms are a good size. Breakfast is plentiful and included in the room price. My main suggestion/insight is that it the staff was not that versed on good recommendations for dining and we ate in some mediocre places as a result. Also, not a youthful place if you are looking for something hip or cool. Nice, though and fabulous location.

The room was very stuffy during the night even with the window open. The hotel is on the main street so we were kept awake for an hour from 4am to 5 am by guys singing and roaring on the street. So I'm afraid it was not an enjoyable stay.

Good but Not Ideal Location for Light Sleepers

Posted Jun 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
In the middle of our 17-day trip around Ireland, Dingle Benners Hotel was conveniently located to the town of Dingle and to a drive around the beautiful Dingle Peninsula. The breakfasts were good, the room clean, the hotel bar convenient, the grand old building still stately. It was a good bit overpriced, compared to our hotels/B&Bs in Kilkenny and Kinsale, and for that reason alone we might not return. But the location, while great for its convenience to Dingle town, is also a drawback. Two very popular bars are directly across the street--our room faced them--and the good craic had could be heard perfectly from our room until well after 2 am. If you are a light sleeper, request a room off of the main street. Parking was abundant but difficult to locate at first. The breakfast buffet and hot breakfast were perhaps the most sumptuous of our visit to Ireland. Overall, not a bad experience--it's a lovely historic hotel and the staff friendly and helpful--but on a return trip to Dingle we might look for something not directly across from the bars.
