It was nice overall but the breakfast hours were very limited so we missed out even though we paid for it and the room was quite warm (no a/c). The location was good for the downtown area with a short 10min walk.

2 night stay at dromhall hotel.Posted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a very enjoyable stay at dromhall. The room was nice and clean and the breakfast was delicious. Location was also cerh goid and only took 5 minutes to walk into town. The staff were verh friendly and helpful at the front desk. My only complaint was that there was a noise that sounded like a water tank, immersion going on. Both myself abd my mother could hear this during the night so we didnt have an uninterrupted night sleep on either night. Because of this I probably wouldnt stay at the hotel again. I would be interested to know if other guests heard the same sound throughout the night.

Nice hotel, amazing staff & convenient locationPosted Jun 27, 2013
Pros: Excellent staff and service
Location: Within 5-10 minute walk from the city center, on the Ring of Kerry road, very close to the Killarney National Park
My family and I booked two rooms and stayed at the hotel for two nights in June 2013. Upon arrival, we learned that the reservation system only showed booking for one room and the hotel was at or near capacity. While the manager was sorting out details, she treated us to tea, coffee and refreshments as we had drove down from Dublin. The manager and the front desk staff made extra efforts to situate us on the same floor and as close as possible by upgrading one of the rooms to a honeymoon suite free of charge. What an inviting gesture on their part to make our vacation truly memorable! Additionally, the staff went out of their way to offer us travel tips and routes based on the time of day to avoid traffic. It really saved us time to go counterclock wise on the Ring of Kerry as we started our trip around 11 AM. We saw an oncoming traffic but we weren't stuck behind a line of buses. Also, we tried the hotel bar (classy) at night and the staff there too was really friendly and knowledgeable about wine and beer. The bartender made great drink suggestions to please us. Regardless to say, the bar was full of friendly local and tourists and we ended up making new friends there. In short, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Dromhall Hotel and feel like we received amazing service and great local tips from this top notch hotel staff. We would recommend this place to anyone traveling through Killarney.
