home stayPosted Aug 2, 2012 on Hotels.com
Home was close to street traffic and bus traffic all hours of day and night. Foot traffic was even worst. people coming and going to hotel past 12am. had to keep windows open because no air conditioning. bedspreads were stained, rugs had spills on them, couches were ripped. tv got basic cable channels, no internet. interent at hotel was not working 80% of the time. kids, kids and more kids everywhere. noisy in resturant and pool with crying ans screaming. would not go back!

Comfy in KenmarePosted Apr 14, 2012
Pros: Spacious modern accommodation
Cons: Dodgy Wifi
Location: Perfect - quiet but only few minutes' walk into town
We stayed in a 3 bed house which was clean, comfortable and contemporary with all mod cons. Very spacious for our family (2 adults plus kids aged 11 and 14). We cooked several times during our stay and found that the kitchen to be excellently equipped. Initially our TV didn't work but this was rectified swiftly by the nice maintenance man! Only a 5 min walk into the centre of Kenmare via a pathway which runs parallel to the hotel and main road. We used the pool but were not aware that swim hats were compulsory which cost us 2euro each! We found the best Guinness at Foley's and nice Italian food at Prego. Were not impressed with the tourist aimed food at most pubs. Free Wifi available in the hotel foyer was hit&miss.
