A great location

Posted May 21, 2015
The location of this guesthouse is exceptional. It overlooks a beautiful river and has a lovely sitting room for guests. It is a short walk into Killarney town and a short walk to the entrance to Killarney National Park. I had an excellent time with the wonderful staff.

Endroit chaleureux, personnel plus que serviable et fort accueillant, une vue magnifique : que demander de plus ? Situé à seulement 5 min à pieds du INEC, c'est très pratique lors des concerts.

Dissapointing.

Posted Feb 7, 2015 on Hotels.com
the lady that checked us in was lovely, breakfast was good. Owner was a bit much found her a little rude. The place was freezing. It was cold enough outside would of been nice to of been warm there. Wouldn't recommend or return. Waste of €90. Very disappointed after traveling such a distance too.

Overall Ok

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Cons: more than one socket in the room.
Not a hotel but a b&b. Only one socket in the room and that was high up on the wall for the TV. Very small room and bathroom but clean. Breakfast good. Good location.

do not waste your time booking here

Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
this could have been a holiday from hell had we stayed, this place is not 4 star as it states, more like 1.where do i start, foul damp musty smell on entry, met by an elderly woman, mary she was just about dressed clothes falling off her revealing a bit too much.no welcoming at all, rotten attitude, the room we were given was very dirty, dust, cobwebs, spiders,no bin,no tea making facilitys,a shower toilet room that a child would find hard to move in.we booked through expedia a double bedroom with complimentary breakfast included for 51 euro, though when we arrived she told us if we wanted breakfast it would be another 17 euro ontop of the 51 euro.i tried to explain to her that it stated breakfast included,i have the email to prove, the attitude i got next nearly knocked me off my feet.she said everybody tries to get free breakfast by saying this, well if you dont want to pay which most decent people do then you can leave right now.so thats just what we did.i have never met a more arrogant horrible person on any of my travels as this mary person.I would highly recommend, the rivermere harmony inn to anybody thinking of staying in killarney.the staff at reception are friendly and professional, room was spotlessly clean, breakfast was great, price 54 euro fantastic value, take my advice please read and believe feedback before you book this place

Panzió

Posted Nov 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
Kedvesek voltak.

Disappointing guesthouse

Posted Oct 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
Overall it was very disappointing and the website advertisement was misleading. The location was wonderful as we were going to a wedding in a nearby hotel and could walk to Killarney for a meal. It was very scenic by the river with lovely windows overlooking it. The accomodation was very basic. The room was sparsely furnished with a dull carpet and lino on the bathroom floor. There was a sliding door in to the bathroom which came away as you tried to slide it across. There was a portable TV up high in the wardrobe. There was no hairdryer or tea making facilities. I had to ask for a hairdryer and the tea making facilities were upstairs in the lounge. I went up to the lounge the next morning to make tea but there was very little water, no cups and several dirty cups. The breakfast was good but the dining room was quite cold. I was woken up at 8am to the loud voices of the staff as the kitchen was on the same floor. The staff were friendly and helpful. They did not accept any type of cards for payment-cash only- and I feel clients should be made aware of this before they arrive. Overall I would give it 1 out of 5 and would not recommend it to anyone.
