Very comfortable friendly hotelPosted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: The professional manner all staff performed their jobs without any need for close supervision.
Cons: We were most satisfied and could not fault anything. When something was wrong it was corrected swiftly.
Location: Killarney is full of spectacular scenery and friendly people. The Kerry ring and Dingle Peninsula are well know for the views.
From the moment we entered the hotel and met the concierge, Teddy, until we left three days later we were made to feel special. We were helped each with suggestions of where to visit and what to see. On the first evening after a tiring trip out to Killarney, we found the atmosphere in the adjoining Irish Pub, Jarveys, wonderful and welcoming. The following day it was our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we celebrated with an excellent meal in "The YewTree" restaurant. When the staff found out about our anniversary, we were made to feel special despite the fact there was a large wedding taking place in the hotel plus the mayhem associated with Ireland winning the Six Nations Rugby. We would definitely return and recommend the hotel to anyone looking for somewhere special.

Our GPS took us on a crazy route to reach the hotel...the road was very narrow and quite difficult to navigate in the dark but once we arrived we realized immediately this was a great property. The staff was absolutely wonderful and the room was beautiful. Regardless of how busy your schedule is, take time to indulge in some pampering at their pool, sauna, hot tub, etc. It was an amazing experience. And the breakfast was the best I have ever had in all the years of my travels! The hotels proximity to the Ring of Kerry is superb!

Loved itPosted Aug 3, 2014
We stayed here on the tail end of our honeymoon for two nights. The room is very, very nice. The bathroom is very nice. My only minor quibble was the bathtub was essentially inaccessible. Now, I don't think that is something most people require on a stay. The room was gorgeous and Teddy the concierge was very nice. Restaurant inside, the Yew Tree, is one of the best we've ever had the pleasure to visit. Tremendous staff and beautiful hotel across the street from the National Park. The Park was wonderful too.
