We loved this hotel! Views were fantastic!Posted Jul 24, 2013
Pros: The view, the staff, the hotel room. Great family suite!
Location: We hiked the Gap of Dunloe, toured the area.
This exceeded our expectations. Much better than the pictures. We wish we could have stayed longer! We would highly recomend this hotel and the restaurant. Grounds are beautiful and the view of the Gap of Dunloe from our balcony was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland.

Rural majestic hotelPosted Jul 15, 2013
Pros: View is amazing. Courteous and helpful staff. Spacious rooms.
Cons: Pool was small and closes early.
Location: View and Gap of Dunloe
Wonderful hotel. Excellent staff. Everything was very nice. Make sure to get a room facing the front of the hotel and the gap. The only drawback is the hotel is a little out of the main town but if you have rented a car it makes little difference. It was also interesting to see the castle on the property. Room was well appointed, spacious, and had all the conveniences expected in this class of accommodations.

Everything was absolutely fabulous. Location & staff were brilliant and very helpful. Anything we required they seen to immediately. They arranged a Taxi pick up for the next morning after arrival to bring myself & my daughter to NEC Killarney for All Ireland Irish Dance Championships. Absolutely excellent.

Large hotel, but with an intimate, personal feelPosted May 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was great. It is located in the countryside and there are cows, sheep and horses on the property. My wife and I got an opportunity to ride the horses on the property. Behind the hotel are the gardens with the remains of the Dunloe castle. Don't expect to see a Blarney Castle-type of structure: it is very simple and small, but the grounds on which it was built are very beautiful with a great view of River Laune below. We got a chance to use the indoor pool, and the facilities there were very clean. The entire hotel staff, from the bell hop, to housekeeping, to the restaurant staff, to the front desk clerk (Simon did a great job!), were very helpful and accomodating. My wife wanted to use the laundry services and it was just past the 10 am deadline to submit her clothes, but the housekeeping staff member waited patiently while she quickly stuffed her clothes in the laundry bag and I filled out the laundry card. We got her clothes back later that same day! The breakfast buffet was lights out awesome and the restaurant has a great view of the Gap of Dunloe. 30 minute drive to the Co. Kerry Airport, 15 minute drive to the town of Killarney and Killarney Racecourse, 20 minute drive to the Muckross House/Killarney National Park (beautiful views), 45 minute drive to the town of Inch on the Dingle Peninsula, 90 minute drive to Limerick. 75 minute drive to Cork.

Irish tripPosted May 17, 2013
Pros: well kept grounds, the public areas, nice big room & bed, helpful & interested staff...
Cons: all good, they could use some weights in the fitness area, but a great spot.
Location: a fine spot for a trip to SW Ireland - a day's trip in each direction for touring...
Wonderful views, facilities, staff, food & sitting areas...bring your swimsuit!
