I would definately go back if I needed a place to stay in Ketchikan. The hotel is older but the staff is very hospitable. The room was clean and very comfortable. We upgraded to the luxury room with queen bed which was nice. It wasn't fancy but a comfortable place to stay with good service.

“Very nice, cute local hotel”

Great hotel in the middle of town with walking distance to everything. It is an older hotel run by the same people for years... Not deluxe but has everything you need + free cookies and coffee/tea everyday all day. Cold breakfast (nothing cooked) but satisfying the hunger until lunch. I would stay here again!

“Old Town Charm”

This hotel was very charming. It had a turn of the century feel and look that made our vacation that much more enjoyable. Very Clean, and well maintained. Great views of the waterfront, and main street. The staff was very friendly and polite. Also, a great plus was that Annabelle's (which is a beautiful restaurant and bar, with great food) is literally connected to the lobby.

“Character and comfort”

I stayed at the Gilmore in April before the summer season opened. I had a room with a view at a reasonable price and the staff were very nice and helpful. This old hotel has lots of character and I will visit again next time I'm in Ketchikan.

“Comfortable boutique hotel”

Wonderful location right downtown near the docks and cruise ships. Annabelles restaurant is part of the hotel and it is one of the nicer restaurants in Ketchikan. On the other side of the hotel is a fabulous bakery called Sweet Mermaids. My room was clean comfortable and I had everything I needed and I loved watching the cruise ships come in in the early morning. I couldn't get the heater totally turned off so to keep the room at a comfortable temperature I had the windows open and had street and bar noise. This was ok for me but may bother some. The staff is very kind and if needed the hotel pays for a taxi to and from the airport ferry. Breakfast is coffee, cereal, muffins, bagels and fruit.

This hotel is very retro, carpeted hallways and stairs. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Great view of the harbor.

“Nice clean room”

My room was nice and clean, but a little on the small side. The room was comfortable and the hotel was in an good location. (Downtown, close to shopping & restaurants, etc.) Annabelles restaurant is attached to the hotel, and serves a good dinner. The restaurant was quite popular and was actually recommended to me by a local before I got to the hotel. My room had a good view of the harbor. The bed was a little too soft for my comfort, but I still got a good nights sleep. Overall, this is not a luxury hotel, but it did offer good value for price paid. I had a good experience and I would recommend this hotel to those visiting the area.

“The best location in Ketchikan”

We could not get the deluxe queen room we wanted until the last day. The regular queen room is extremely sub-par. Ours overlooked a dirty stairwell and another building. Those rooms should probably be eliminated. Perhaps that whole side could be converted into a Hostel. The rooms facing the water are incredible. The view is perfect. Housekeepers were grumpy, everyone else was great. Ketchikan is marvelous and this classic Hotel is right in the heart of it.
