“Convenient to 5 freeway”

This is a good stopping point along the 5 Freeway. Gas stations and fast food are your only options, but it sure did serve it's purpose. The room was clean, but front desk service was cold and unwelcoming.

“Excellent place for a night halt on highway”

This is a good place to halt on a drive on I-5. Conveniently located just off the highway. There are a few eating places nearby. The rooms are excellent, clean and well maintained. Reception staff is good and helpful.

“Average hotel in class - breakfast sucks”

Everything was pretty satisfactory. Rooms are very clean, considering this is a pet friendly hotel. My only issue is with the breakfast. The make-it-yourself waffles don't taste good and the sausage patties are frozen - you use a microwave to cook it and it becomes flat and greasy. The only thing worth eating from here is a muffin. Some continental breakfast. If you want a hot meal, eat out.

“We won't be back”

We drive to the LA area from Northern CA a few times a year. This time we got a late start and decided to stay at the half way mark of Kettleman City. The staff at check in was fine; the continental breakfast was fine; the location off the freeway was great. The room however was a huge disappointment. The bathroom was clean, so that's a plus, but the carpet was filthy and the room smelled like a wet dog. I'll be more careful about picking a hotel that is "pet friendly" next time. We also didn't get much sleep because the heater was extremely noisy. I've stayed at "cheap" hotels/motels before so I would have expected this type of room at half the cost of what they are charging. Their rates are ridiculous for what you get. We won't be back.

“Not Impressed”

Front desk internet was "out" and they had no record of our reservation and no proof that we had paid for the stay already. They were rude and not professional, eating as they were trying to figure out the situation. For being a "new" hotel, it was a bit worn.

“Looking for a Two-Room Suite? This is not it.”

The room was spotlessly clean and very spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. However...We were counting on the suite--not cheap for this area--to be two actual rooms. It was not. The pool was unheated and too tiny for my husband to swim laps. He kept gazing longingly at the pool next door at Super 8. Breakfast room was super crowded (this was far from a busy time for the hotel) and nothing special. There was no coffee left when we went down at 8.

“Clean room. Quiet location.”

The room was clean and spacious. The front desk people were very nice. However, wifi and cell phone coverage was spotty. Also, the bed was VERY hard. I would stay here again especially now that I know what to expect.

“Never disappointed”

I have stayed at this hotel on three occasions and I am always satisfied. The hotel is well kept and quiet. I feel relatively safe there, since the majority of time I am traveling alone.
