We stayed here for our honeymoon and awaiting in our room was a lovely bottle of champagne compliments from the hotel. The room was spacious and clean and very close to shops and major bus terminal. Overall a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend and stay again myself.

great breakfastPosted Sep 30, 2013
Cons: addition of a pool
wonderful location, right across the street from old town. staff were warm and friendly. gave me very good directions for buying a bus ticket, and tips for my day trips, and asked how my trip was when i returned. breakfast was excellent, and i'm a very picky eater, so I rarely say that about hotel breakfasts. Lots of variety, though it is significantly better if you go earlier, as the good stuff is all gone by 9am or so. shower was large by Greek standards.

Very good hotel centrally locatedPosted Aug 3, 2013
Pros: Very friendly staff and check in was quick. The hotel offers free parking and wi-fi. The room was clean and complimentary fruit basket and raki.
Cons: The bathroom could have been a little larger.
Location: Hotel is centrally located close to all activities and sights.
I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is centrally located across from the Agora (market). It's within walking distance to the limani (old port), the bus depot(KTEL), the old town, shopping, etc.

Kydon Hotel - ChaniaPosted Jul 17, 2013
Pros: Comfortable beds & pillows
Cons: Lack of tourist information
Location: Perfect - within walking distance (500 yds) of the old town
Located within walking distance to the Old Town of Chania, this fully air-conditioned hotel is perfect for a short stay. It seems to be more of a 'business hotel' but nevertheless caters for families. The breakfast was good apart from the fact that they don't cater for 'gluten-free'. It's a shame it doesn't have a pool or outside seating area apart from the rooms' balconies. Provision of tourist information was poor but it seems to be a general fault in Chania and probably not restricted to this hotel.

My stay at the KydonPosted May 28, 2013
Pros: helpfull staff
Location: ideally located in the centre of town ten to fifteen minutes from the harbour
Great value for money, hotel staff always very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts food supplied was buffet style ranging from cooked to cold plate. while we were there we Walked the Samaria gorge which the hotel staff arranged for us and they also supplied a packed lunch for the journey. Although the hotel is in the centre of Chania the room was made quite by the double glazing windows. Our room had a balcolney with table and chairs where we could sit and read or take a glass of wine at the end of the day. From the hotel to the Harbour it is a magical ten to fifteen minute walk through the back streets filled with shops and bars selling everything to catch the tourists eye. The harbour itself must be one of the prettiest we have been to especially at night time with all the restaurants and bars stretching right arround the harbour itself. We hired a car during our stay which the hotel looked after for us in their hotel car park.

Return trip to CretePosted Mar 16, 2013
Pros: Staff and breakfast
Cons: As with most things in Crete, standards are not up to what you would find in the nicer hotels in other parts of mainland Western Europe
Location: Great location, handy if you have a car
I have stayed at the Kydon multiple times and will continue to use it for my future trips to Chania. The location is great, right across the street is the market and the entrance to old town. The staff is among the friendliest that you will find anywhere in the world. I highly recommend this hotel.

FRIENDLY STAFF, CONVENIENT LOCATIONPosted Nov 18, 2012 on Hotels.com
Everything was close to perfect, very friendly staff, also eager to help with only concern to set conditions for a plesant stay. The bathroom was very small... otherwise just nice. I would return.
