Didn't expect this...

I was a bit apprehensive about this hotel pick at first. But I had to remember this is a old city. But my fears were put to rest. As soon as I entered the hotel. It was clean from top to bottom. The decor appeared to be fairly new or at least well maintained. I was in room 6. It was a large room that faced the street. The bathroom was a great size. Get this. It had a tub with jets that could fit five or six adults. I know right!!! There is a gym on the fourth floor. The hotel has a restaurant on the top floor. Good in a pinch. Free breakfast. They also serve lunch and dinner. But..... I wasn't a big fan. The staff was great. Very helpful. All of the receptionist spoke English which was a life saver for me. Bank that exchanges currency like fifty steps away. I would gladly stay there again. Thumbs up to the Mirax.

Comfortable, stylish - for "interesting weekends"

Pros: Not in the town centre but ONLY 1 stop on the metro. Sometimes NOT being in the centre is a major advantage.
Cons: Style superseded practical ideas - like power points and some small surface to place a book, glass, spectacles,etc - near the head of the bed.
Very stylish and comfortable. Just needs a little more thought about layout. All reception staff spoke good English and were very welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately they were renovating the restaurant/bar. I was told on Thursday that it "should be completed by Saturday". When I departed on Tuesday - (as far as I know) it was still not complete. This was sad - because I would have liked to have seen it. I think the renovating was performed by mice wearing soft shoes because I rarely heard any sounds - which I was very grateful for. However, the kitchen was open and food could be delivered to the room. Very good, fresh, tasty - I highly recommend. My room had no bedside table or power points near the head of the bed. Neither was there any table or chairs. So, if I had invited a guest to dine with me in my room - we would have had to crouch on the bed or share a stool facing a wall. Deep, comfortable bath - wonderful. Door to mini bar opened with difficulty because it was located too close to the thick carpet. This hotel is above a 24 hour supermarket. One can gain access to the supermarket from within the hotel - which is very convenient. The supermarket is above average and has a good deli counter and lots of nice "treats". Metro station, money changer and banks are all within 5-6 minutes walk. I used the hotel airport transfer service.... only 20 minutes drive - without rushing. I will stay there again because I truly believe they will continue to improve.

Amazing People Amazing Place

This hotel is a work of art. The people are fantastic both Natalia and Julia at reception are amazing. Rooms are clean location is a but of a hike to the centre but no biggie as there are many Taxis. Don't forget to visit Panorama Lounge it's great fun. And if you get bored go have a chat with Natalia or Julia who speak fantastic English and are so beautiful :))))). Would I visit the hotel again " Yes"
