Perfect Boutique Experience

Posted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
Though the name is difficult to pronouce correctly and the location was somewhat hard to find, this hotel was perfect for a couple-night stay in Kiev before heading down to Crimea. The rooms are perhaps on the small side, but they are clean and have modern and well-maintained furnishings. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, understanding enough English for me not to have to bust out my phrase book or translation app. Even though located on a little side street, you're within a 5 minute walk of St. Andrews/markets, 10 minutes of St. Michael and St. Sophias, and about 15-20 from the main drag with all the restarants and bars/clubs. The continental breakfast was one of the best we had while in the Ukraine and the hotel has great common spaces for guests to use.

Well-kept hotel in artistic area of Kiev

Posted Feb 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel and room were very clean and well-maintained. Small bar area in comfortable lobby. Terrace restaurant with good breakfast buffet. Negatives: Room was a bit too cold (it was the middle of winter) and kind of small. Restaurant had *no* vegetarian options at all, so I had to go out to find someplace for dinner.

Sweet hotel and good value

Posted Jan 26, 2012
Pros: Big bed hot shower
Cons: Up a hill which in snowy conditions is really difficult
Location: Good location in the spring, not so good in the snow
Only downside was lack of English TV - BBC world channel didn't work. Also they didn't have any plug adaptors.

True Botique in a Perfect Location

Posted Oct 21, 2011 on Hotels.com
I've stayed in this hotel 3 times now. Everything has been excellent. Some of the staff have difficulty with English, especially room service, but front desk staff of good English and are always willing to help. You can't beat the location right on St Andrews walk, home to some of the best local markets selling everything from handmade souvenirs to Soviet era camera equipment. On our last stay the local government had decided to modernize up the quaint cobblestones of Andrews walk. Besides being a loss of character to the area, this makes getting to the hotel a lot harder. Large sections of the street are blocked off temporarily. Allow lots of time for taxi pick ups. From the looks of things this project may take a while.
