Comfort in the heart of KievPosted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: The room had a view of Maydan and Stella. Access to amenities, restaurants, metro, and attractions was just steps away--literally.
Cons: Parking was a bit tricky to find but the staff found me a spot.
Location: Very central and walking distance to historical sites, shopping, restaurants, parks, the river.
The staff was helpful and informative. What I liked the most was the proximity to all the things that I would expect from a centrally located hotel. Kiev is full of shops and eateries and things to do. This hotel is situated such that this is all within easy walking distance. The room was modern and clean, if a bit on the small side. However, it seems that European hotel rooms, even at the better hotels, are generally smaller than the average American hotel room. The street outside tends to be one of the busier in Kiev and if you are a light sleeper you might want to request a room away from the street. I did not find the noise to be a problem. Airconditioning worked nicely and kept the room cool and quiet. Security felt adequate and there is a safe in the room. The staff was conversant in English and communication was not a problem.

Great Location!Posted Aug 11, 2014
This hotel is in the center of Kiev, walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Most rooms do not have any view!

Bad areaPosted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: Staff friendly
Location: Things near many tents tires blocked roads also 2 burnt out buildings leaves a smokey smell in air
I stayed for pool but after check in pool 100 dollars per hour. Had hotel for 2 nights but stayed just 1 night no refund for the second night and had to pay more tax for stay. They called it city tax.

Great people, very good location. Room was small.Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Everything except the size of the room
Cons: Not really room for both the king bed and a desk chair. It would have been better with a queen bed
Location: Everything necessary was nearby. The staff was outstanding
Great people, very good location. Room was small. Morning breakfast which was included with the room was outstanding by US standards.

Great place to stay for the price but the ac needs to actually cool the room rather then just blow out air.

Barricades and Art MuseumPosted May 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
These are both very close to the museum. In fact, I had to go through armed protester-guards to get to and from the hotel between about 12 midnight and 5am in April 2014. Other times don't have sentries. Desk attendance was very helpful and friendly.

Great location and restaurant. Poor cleaning.Posted Apr 25, 2014
Pros: Location and restaurant.
Cons: Cleaniness and bedding.
Location: The Independence Square, shops, subway.
I would recommend it only because of the location as it is in the middle of the city centre and the restaurant is really good. Otherwise, the rooms are less than comfortable. The bed is quite uncomfortable.
