Kigali hotel review
Posted Jan 14, 2013
Pros: The view from the balcony and pool / bar area with live music.
Cons: They were not ready for us on arrival even though I had pre booked. Old elevator.
Location: Centrally situated in Kigali.
Staff was not quite prepared for us when we had arrived even though I had booked and paid way in advance. They placed us in a room with single bed even though I had requested 2 singles, however they took care of it. Hotel was nice, well situated and clean and staff was friendly and accommodating.

Great value

Quality of hotel consistent with 4x rating. Best hotel we staid in Ruanda. Had to reschedule actual nights due to change in my schedule and CM had no issues of changing these bookings.

Very successful trip to Rwanda and Uganda

Pros: We had a memorable New Years Eve dinner at the hotel--excellent food and service far far from home!
Cons: Our first night there was construction noise but they switched our room the following day without any fuss.
Location: Great location looking over beautiful hills of Kigali
The staff were EXTREMELY helpful and friendly--they allowed us to stay in our rooms until 6 PM free of charge as our flight was in the evening. They responded to all of requests promptly and efficiently---we had a memorable stay in Kigali in large part due to the hotel.

Need improvement. Some of what was promised such as sofa and a fridge were not provided.

Happy to return

We enjoyed our stay overall. Organisation at breakfast first morning was poor. No welcome and many items not available. Impossible to get fried or poached eggs only omelettes. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Pool and bar service was good. Near to some good restaurants.

Lovely and luxurious
Posted Jan 19, 2012
Pros: Pool area, Bar and Breakfast.
Cons: Service and smell of garlic in my room.
Location: Excellent. Close to airport and shops.
The rooms were very clean and tidy and quite luxurious. No hair dryer, mini bar or room food service. The pool and bar area quite amazing and relaxing. Order your food approximately one hour before you actually want to eat it though as the service is terrible! The staff are friendly though. The room smelled like garlic at times (I think it's near the kitchen).

Overpriced

Pros: Gorgeous views from the restaurant
Cons: Not a great view from the bedroom.
Location: Very central
We had a pleasant stay but I feel the hotel was overpriced for what it offered.

The fact that this hotel is located close to the city centre makes it ideal for exploring the city!
