Staffs friendly, they tried to meet our requiremenPosted Jan 2, 2014
Overall a good experience and value for money. The only dissapointment is d breakfast, not recommended for kidz. Better take d breakfast from outside. Once the housekeeping forget to keep the water in d rooms, we had to call 5 times just to get water. Rooms are large n spacious, friendly staff, good location. The casino did not disturb us.

Good location, reasonable value, friendly folkPosted Sep 23, 2012
Comfortable and spacious, near an excellent bookshop and restaurant/coffee shop, easy access to town via cheap and reliable motos. The restaurant and bar in the penthouse had superb views, reasonably priced. Strangely, the hotel was nearly empty, but then again there weren't many tourists around Kigali either. Easy to converse in either French or English

Not the bestPosted Jun 24, 2012
Not a very good hotel. When electricity goes out, the water heater also goes off and must be manually turned on. It is assumed you know this. Only one towel everyday for 2 people and failed to leave toilet paper. Had to call and ask for these items. I stayed in a prestige room. Save your money and just get a regular room. The only difference would be the view of Kigali from a prestige room. Much nicer hotels in Kigali. I will choose a different one next time.

Good value, enjoyable stay.Posted Jan 25, 2012
Very enjoyable stay despite a few negative points. Room service: after placing our order, we received 3 different phone calls, each of them for things that were not available. The menu looks great, but in the end nothing on it is available (but let's not forget, this is Rwanda) Laundry: we have sent our cloths to wash. When it came back, 3 of my pants had bleach stains. I have told them, and they denied (I was expecting that). After a long hour of negotiation and talking with managers, I managed to get them to pay the compensation promised on their laundry form (x10 times the amount of the cleaning price). Everything else was good. Overall it is a good hotel at reasonable price. You won't be disappointed, just keep in mind that you are in Rwanda, don't expect the same service that you would get elsewhere. Also the hotel's driver is great, his name is Juvenile, ask for him if you need any transfer, even to parc des volcans ($150).

A pleasant stay in RwandaPosted Jan 20, 2012
Pros: The quirkiness of the design, and the friendliness of the staff
Cons: A nice little area outside the room was often too hot to sit in for long.
Location: Right on the safest street in town, and commodities are a short trip away in a local taxi van.
I had a pleasant time in Top Tower Hotel. The room was well lit by a large floor to ceiling window. There were a few options for added comfort if I had requested them, such as a massage. The bed had a firm base, and thin foam softener/mattress. I had very slight back pain after a few nights. After spending some time in the room, I found myself a tad nauseous with all the stained wood in the room. My advice: move about the hotel, or relax on a couch in the foyer. The breakfast buffet available was varied a little and was very filling. All up, it was a good stay, and I will have good memories of the staff.

I will try something else next timePosted Nov 15, 2010
I actually stayed in two different rooms, one night in each, and both times there was something wrong with the room. First night, it was the shower (noticed this in the morning and was in a hurry, so did not even try to get it fixed) and second night, the air con was not working. (or, it probably did not work but as the control only had Chinese characters, it is really hard to say, what the settings were). Also this time I Ignored it, as opening the window was enough to cool the room and I did not want to go through the hassle of changing rooms. The rooms themselves were spacious and the views were great. Breakfast was edible, although there was some stuff that smelled quite suspicious, but I stayed clear of that.
