Vienna, the capital of Austria, is located about 65 miles (105 kilometers) northeast of Kindberg, while Graz is 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the south.
Kindberg isn't the only place in Styria worth seeing; visitors with plenty of time can also hit the road and discover the unique qualities of the nearby scenery, cities and towns. Leoben, is 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the northeast, while Mariazell is situated 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the south.
Organize some transport and head to Graz, a retail and transport hub for the region, located some 30 miles (48 kilometers) from Kindberg. The city offers a range of attractions, including Stadtmuseum, Stadtpark and Jakominiplatz. Austrian Open Air Museum (Osterreichisches Freilichtmuseum), Pfarrkirche St Barbara and Schloss Riegersburg are also good places to spend some time.
One of the best ways to understand a spot is by discovering its past. So be sure to visit the old towns while you are in the area. To learn about the local culture, head to Styria's art museums, art galleries and history museums.
Take a big breath and let your worries melt away as you enjoy some of the area's relaxing pastimes such as picnicking and shore fishing. Make sure you pack comfortable shoes and spend a few hours with an expert local guide on one of the guided nature walks, winery tours and cycling tours.
At the end of your vacation, bid a fond Tschüss (farewell) to the people you've got to know and the places you've seen.
