"Fabulous historic hotel!"
We had a two night stay at the beginning of December, when the hotel was apparently at 100% occupancy and had Christmas parties and/or weddings happening on both evenings. Despite this, it didn't feel crowded and didn't impact the service. There was potential to spoil the weekend as they had originally put us in a twin room rather than a double (presumably due to the high occupancy rate) but once we had pointed out that it was our engagement celebration and therefore had specifically booked a double room, there were no arguments and we were put into a double after all, with the added bonus of a breakfast thrown in. In addition, we returned to our room on the second evening to find that they had provided a chocolate cake for our engagement, which I thought was a lovely touch. The room was in the new wing, so nothing particularly out of the ordinary, but spotlessly clean and wonderfully comfortable bed (the sheets were almost strokable!). The main attraction of the hotel, however, was the historical part so we spent breakfast in the "Booking Office", an hour in the spa in the basement, and then went on the tour of the hotel (free to guests) before sitting in the bar admiring the surroundings. The staff were excellent, answering any questions we had - couldn't have asked for more. Overall - definitely recommended!

"Great service"
Within 2 minutes walk from the nearest tube station. As we had an early start the next morning, we couldn't make breakfast, so was offered a takeaway. This was fantastic, enough food to last all day & a great variety. Also a hot drink which was made fresh for us. Superb service which was most unexpected but very much appreciated.

"Well situated, easily accessible"
Located close to a number of tube stations, the apartments are a perfect base for shoppers. Clean, and of a good size, the one we stayed in faced out onto the street - noise does travel very easily as the windows were not double glazed - this is the ONLY down side I could find. With fridge, freezer, oven and kitchen wear provided, as well as towels and complementary toiletries - even toothbrushes - it had everything we could've needed for our short stay. Covent garden was approximately 20 minutes away and there were a number of pubs / restaurants and shops literally on the doorstep. I'll certainly be staying here again.

"Half term trip to London"
This hotel was a great base to explore London. Only 10 mins walk to nearest tube, but really it is so close to the centre of town that we (family of 4 - with children aged 10 and 13) walked back from Covent Garden on a lovely evening. Hotel was of a good standard. There was a queue for breakfast, but this was to be expected as the hotel was packed for half term and the queue moved quickly and the food did not run out! Helpful notices were placed in lifts detailing less busy times for breakfast. Room was very clean and quiet. We will definitely return.
