Acceptable dog-friendly hotel

I needed an inexpensive dog-friendly hotel for an overnight stay on a longish drive. This hotel is right off I-95, which was very convenient. Everything was fine except the pillows are very small and very soft which I wouldn't have even noticed except that I have back problems. The dog happily made the faux leather couch her bed. I appreciated the outdoor elevator.

Convenient to Freeway but not so clean.

Pros: Close to the freeway. Allowed pets (for a fee).
Cons: New Bedspreads and a little bit softer beds. They could work with older people to get a first floor room
Location: Location close to freeway, but nothing to do in the area. We traveled to St Marys to find a restaurant.
Beds so hard, burn holes in the rug and bed spread of a non-smoking room. Bath sink drained so slow. Tiny shampoo and soap. Though we are older and handicapped, we could not get a first floor room (told they only had a couple of room available on the Expedia price). There was an elevator, but we had to walk three sides of the hotel to get to our room. Ice maker didn't work. Had to walk a long way to get ice.

room wasn't clean

Our room wasn't cleaned 2 of our nights. We had to go to the front desk to get clean towels. Not sure we would choose this hotel when we return to Kingsland, Ga. Our son is stationed there so we will be returning regularly.

Person in Charge: Mr Desai(?)

I had been driving for 10 hours with 2 large dogs and a 26 foot truck. We were exhausted. The computer was down. This "manager" said I had to wait until the computer was back up. Thru Hotels.com the 2 rooms were already paid for. He did not want to see my printed confirmation. When I asked for him to take my credit card and ID and please give me a room he said NO. Hotels.com called on my behalf and he told them the same thing. I have travelled a lot all over the world and not even in a third world country have I been so thoroughly and completely mistreated. I will tell ALL my friends and family NEVER again to stay at a Red Roof Inn. Red Roof is in the hospitality business but this person does not have the slightest clue what hospitality means. He does not even know what common courtesy or empathy mean. Absolutely horrible most horrendous experience. Ended up not staying at the hotel.

great hotel

We had a great time!! There were 6 of us plus my 7 month old grandaugter. The staff was great they had us in ajoining rooms witch was very nice.
