Should have booked something downtown insteadPosted May 19, 2015
The hotel is packed with families which means you will constantly pass kids running wet in their bathing suits. The pool which looks beautiful in pictures is small and there is hardly any space to swim considering the number of people in it. Instead of long chairs to relax once out of the water, awkward backyard plastic chairs surround the pools and jacuzzis with people having nothing else to do than look at you. We ordered room service twice, once for breakfast and the second morning for coffee. Breakfast for 2 cost about 23$ which was great for what it was but I was then charge 13$ for coffee for 2. It made no sense. Location wise, there is nothing to do on foot unless you're planning to go to KFC. The only highlight is the near highway but it is also easily reachable from downtown. Definitely not coming back to this one. Too bad because the staff was nice!

Shine Dance Competition 2015Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The waterpark was amazing! The slide was fun, there was also a splash pad, 2 whirlpools, a sauna and more than one swimming pool!
Cons: The room could have been cleaned better. There were cobwebs in the bedroom and hair in the bathroom.
Location: We never left the hotel as we were there to attend the dance competition.
We booked a room because we were attending the Shine Dance Competition. Check-in was fast and easy. The front desk staff was very accommodating. There was a bit of a wait while extra shampoo was tracked down, it could have been brought to my room. The conference facilities were amazing. Clean and supplied with fresh water for the dancers which was very important. Check out was extended to noon for us and was a quick and smooth process. The front desk staff went out of his way giving me a map of the facilities, our room key and a pen for my daughter's scrapbook!

A "Just-OK" Place To StayPosted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: The water park was a nice bonus, especially the water slide. The pool area is very well staffed by lifeguards and safety supervision on the slide.
Cons: A family-oriented hotel, but the complete lack of security in that none of the hotel doors were ever locked and card access not required was alarming.
Spent 3 days, 2 nights at this hotel with 2 adults, 2 children. Yes, it was March break, so very busy and a lot of kids there for the water park, but busy is no excuse for poor service. Did not get housekeeping service at all. Was very disappointed to have to live with wet towels, not enough towels in first place, dirty dishes, and no coffee, especially when traveling with children. The coffee maker did not work, the fridge in room never got above room temperature, and the shower curtain was hanging by only 5 of the 12 curtain rings. Very poor service overall.

Spruce it up!Posted Mar 24, 2015
After renovations, a lot of work still needs to be done. Chipped furniture and ripped lampshades have got to go. If you want to charge your phone, you need to move furniture to access an outlet. Unacceptable.
