2 days in KingstonPosted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: Room was great, quite large, well equipped. Restaurant - Toms Place - was excellent. Ate both suppers there. Free hot breakfast was also top notch.
Cons: Room was hard to keep at a comfortable temperature, especially for sleeping, too warm.
Location: Easy access to downtown and waterfront, about 3-4 km. Large mall about 3 km away but on same street.
We were in Kingston for the Skate Cda national championships.

Good value with a great restaurant too!Posted Jan 18, 2015
Pros: Reliability - I know the rooms are clean, comfortable and the rates are reasonable.
This was my second stay at this hotel. The rooms are large, the beds were comfortable and the shower was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. We ate dinner at the Bistro Stefan and it was excellent - I had the prime rib, which was melt in your mouth delicious and my daughter had a steak, juicy and tender. The room comes with a complimentary breakfast buffet that included scrambled eggs, sausages, home fries, fruit, yogourt, cereal and plenty of juice, toast, muffins and rolls choices plus make your own waffles. You won't leave hungry! The rates were extremely reasonable and although there are other hotels located downtown ( which are far more expensive), I like this hotel - it's good value.

Convenient LocationPosted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Location, friendliness of the staff and price.
Cons: Better lights in the room for reading.
Location: It was a 5 min. drive from downtown and the same for shopping at nearby stores. We did not do anything except visit with family and friends.
The hotel was located in an excellent location for our needs. It was not far away from family, friends and the shopping district. Restaurants at the hotel and nearby. We needed to extend our stay and the front desk receptionist had taken care of the problem within any difficulty.

Best Western Fireside InnPosted Dec 30, 2014
Pros: A great place for a stop.
Cons: Most of the staffs were nice. Just the receptionist was not a very nice lady.
Location: Supermarket right next door to the hotel.
Clean room. Very comfortable beds. Great restaurant, a little pricey for dinner but the food is great. Hot breakfast buffet was excellent. The receptionist was having a bad day and not very friendly which puts a dent to this otherwise excellent experience. We wanted to take a look at the fantasy suite but was told that they are for couples only and not for family in a not very polite tune.

Good value and Pet FriendlyPosted Dec 29, 2014
We were looking for a Pet friendly hotel in Kingston that we could trust to be clean and decent. we were pleasantly surprised at the cozy room, the fireplace and the location. The morning breakfast was good but I would have preferred bacon to sausages but all in all it was good. We even made our own waffle which was excellent. I would recommend this hotel

Very nice venuePosted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very good and we used cutlery rather than plastic utensils.
Cons: Not really
Location: Location was ideal for us.
We really enjoyed the comfort of the room especially the fire place. The heat lamp in the bathroom kept us warm as toast on getting out of the shower. I cut my finger while away from the hotel and the person at the desk gave me some band aids after I asked him for one.

nice, older hotelPosted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: The overall character
Cons: Just some new flooring in some places
Location: Excellent location, right on Princess ST., Not far from shopping, sight seeing
Must have been a real class hotel when first built. Very nice place, has been well kept, will have to start doing fllor repairs in places (not really bad). The overall am,bience of Lobby, Bistro very good. Didn't try other restaurant.
