Beware Parking FeesPosted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Right down town Kingston. Location could not have been better
Cons: Parking options
Location: Right at the waterfront where a live band played most of the night. Many bars with patios, ice cream parlours and restaurants
We enjoyed our stay at the Confederation Place Hotel in Kingston however we were not impressed that the underground parking was not included in the price of the room. To park at the hotel it was going to be $20. Across the street there was $5 parking which we opted for but the spaces filled up fast and we were lucky to get one. Aside from that the hotel was clean and comfortable and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Somewhat disappointingPosted Aug 13, 2014
Cons: New carpet in hallways. Clear out sink and shower drains more often. Ensure fitness equipment matches what on web site.
The staff and location were definitely a plus. However, the hallway carpet in our floor looked like it needed to be changed. There were stains everywhere and it did not leave a great first impression. The fitness centre only had one treadmill (which was out of order), contrary to the web site which showed other exercise equipment. The drain in the sink and shower ran extremely slow and both were in desperate need of a plunger or drain-o. Nothing worse than wading in shower water! We will not be return visitors.

very good location in historical part of KingstonPosted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: pleasantness of staff
Cons: bath tub did not empty vey quickly
Location: right down town, close to stores, restaurant and cafes, the farm market, city hall and the water front
it was a 24 hours stay for us. We were allowed to "feel at hoe" even after check-out. Met friends in foyer area of hotel. Kept our luggage in a storage room until time to leave for railway station.

Close to everythingPosted Aug 8, 2014
Cons: Could use some brighter painting inside.
Confederation Place hotel is not the Royal York...but it is a very pleasant hotel. Our two day stay was extremely pleasing. Staff very courteous and happy to assist. Its location was very convenient, close to everything. Parked my can in the garage and walked everywhere. Even had a very nice 30 minute walk to Fort Henry. View of the waterfront was great. Buffet breakfast was very enjoyable. Would I go back...Yes.

DisappointedPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The location and the complimentary breakfast the next morning.
Cons: Washrooms could use a renovation. The parking fee for indoor garage is a bit steep.
We found that the AC was way too loud so ended up sleeping in a very stuffy room even though the window was open. Washrooms could use a renovation. We stayed in room 303 and it appeared that there was mold on the ceiling over the shower...my husband had a very hard time to breath all night perhaps because of that. He suffers from allergies.

Location and View.Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: Location and view from window.
Cons: Upgrade bathtub/shower. Replace carpet.
Location: Good restaurants, shopping, park, water activities, boat cruises leaving from dock right below hotel.
Location in Kingston was great. View from window in room was outstanding. A little tired maybe, but I would use it again.

Great central location, but could use updates.Posted Jul 27, 2014
Great jump off point to anywhere in the heart of Kingston. The decor is outdated and the parking lot is both too small and too awkward. On check-out day they only had one elevator working which made things difficult. That said, we had a great stay there. The beds were very comfortable. The location can't be beat for the price.

Ok in a pinchPosted Jul 23, 2014
Price was way out of line with the calibre of hotel in general. Stayed one night, room was clean, but overall stay was mediocre at best. Everything needs to be updated, pool, luggage trolley, elevators, etc. To be fair we had come through town after staying 3 nights at an upscale hotel in Quebec City. Big difference, and certainly to be expected. Would definitely not pay that price for this hotel again.
