not good

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: Newer interior, cleaner exterior, better staff, better parking arrangement/equipment
This hotel was not worth what I paid for it. The hotel is old and you can tell the facility is old The mattress was terrible, all of us had back pains and we were not able to sleep well. The hotel staff recommended a restaurant, which was closed. The parking is tight and we had issues going in/out of the parking lot due to key card issues and the employees showed no regard for customer convenience and just told us to push the help button and wait. I would not return, absolutely terrible experience

Good Standard Fare

Posted Sep 26, 2014
Pros: The location was great. Close to restaurants. Easy underground parking with in-and-out privileges was very reasonable. Staff very pleasant/helpful.
Cons: Room decor was very boring. The beige carpet tiles on floor looked very commercial and the plain white bed linens were 'au courant' but so drab.
We were looking for a hotel in downtown Kingston, close to restaurants and with a view of the lake. The room was billed as lake view, which was technically correct but the ambience was spoiled by the rooftops of the old buildings between the hotel and the lake. The proximity to restaurants didn't disappoint as we were in walking distance of several. All in, with taxes, the room rate seemed high for the quality of the room, but the hotel was clean and the staff professional and pleasant.

Good hotel on the lake

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: The bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The hotel was very clean and fairly quiet.
Cons: The walls were quite thin. I could hear noises from the other rooms. I could see light spilling from the door around the adjoining room.
We dropped our son off at Queen's University and then stayed the night in Kingston. We went out for dinner and walked around the city. There are many interesting bars, restaurants, cafes and shops to explore. The old limestone buildings are beautiful.

Nice hotel in the heart of downtown.

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Proximity to downtown and available queen size beds.
Cons: Signage for parking.
Hotel is easy to find in downtown core and is close to historical sites, restaurants and waterfront. Our stay was very comfortable as we enjoyed the last night with our daughter before we took her to Queen's.

Best hotel experience compared to other hotels

Posted Aug 23, 2014
We stayed at 4 hotels during our vacation, 2 of which were Hilton and other two were Sheraton. Both Hilton hotels had problems which were a smoke free room turned out to be otherwise and other hotel which did not provide towels but charged customers for it; also the rate per night at Hilton were more expensive than Sheraton. We had no problems with Sheraton and all the accommodation/amnenities were met / beyond expectations; price was also very reasonable to the quality of stay.
