Only hotel on waterfront with balcony

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: The staff was very pleasant.
Cons: The building should be updated
We booked with Holiday Inn because they are the only waterfront hotel with balconies. We did have a balcony, however there was a large crab apple tree that was over grown, and blocked any view from the balcony. Waterfront and or even parking lot. The mattresses in both double /queen beds should have been replaced years ago. The room was very musty smelling. The facility really should be torn down and rebuilt. The staff we encountered were all very pleasant, but the hotel itself is not. The outdoor pool looked very inviting but there was limited seating so we did not go for an afternoon swim on one of the nicest summer days we have had, as there was no where to sit or place our towels, except on the ground.

Over priced for the condition of the room

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: The cleanliness of the bathroom.
Location: It is right on the waterfront, near all sorts of museums, restaurants and attractions. Fantastic location.
The hotel staff was wonderful but the bathroom could have been much cleaner. We had a great view of the waterfront from our balcony but the balcony itself was quite dirty.

Old hotel in need of a renovation.

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Cons: The parking was horrible.
The room was just ok, but very expensive. On my trip I stayed at for more luxurious hotels for less than half the price

Favorite Kngston hotel

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Location, style, convenience and sense that this hotel is the 'place to be.'
Location: Best location in downtown Kingston, bar none. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance, live music, shopping, etc.
My wife and I have stayed here many times over the years, including earlier this summer. Everything about our visit was excellent, with the exception of the outdoor pool still being out of commission. Outdoor patio with live music on weekends was a lot of fun. Staff was very pleasant and professional, as usual. You can't beat the location of this hotel.

Perfect location, but needs renovation. The size of the rooms are very good, the bathroom needs to upgrade.

Nice hotel facing the water front

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: The proximity to the water front. A great location concerning my requirements.
Cons: Clean the plastic chairs that are on the balcony. For that matter, remove the cobwebs. The addition of a small table on the balcony would be nice.
Location: The location is great. Close proximity to the RMC and water front trail. Great for a quick run in the morning. Near the express bus pick up point.
A big thank you to Kyle and Tanya who took the time to answer my questions. My appreciation to the housekeeping staff. A job well done. A pleasure to see Pat again. A great way to start the day being served by her.

Best location in Kingston

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location. Very efficient, clean and 'busy.' Nice, helpful staff at reception desk.
Cons: More attention should be paid to the outdoor balconies, as they get a lot of use. The last two times they were a little 'sloppy.'
Location: Best location in Kingston. The perfect spot at the quay where tour boats are launched from. Lots of great restaurants, farmer's market and more.
