Residence Inn DisappointmentPosted Jul 29, 2015
Cons: Service and food quality at the free breakfasts.
Location: Downtown location so ideal for walking -but then there are at least 5 other hotels within 3 city blocks.
My wife and I were there for two nights. Room door would not lock securely and coffee pot in the room actually leaked. But the most disappointing was the service of the free breakfasts on the two mornings that we were there. Staff appeared overwhelmed and confused and food ran out in many sections. Not enough tables and chairs. A bad start to a day on both days! Dennis

Convenient location for downtown KingstonPosted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Room size. Breakfast quality and quantity. Location right on the lakeshore.
Cons: Parking and room rate for this location were amongst the most expensive on this trip through Ontario.
Location: Convenient location for downtown Kingston.
Stayed her three days while vacationing in the area. Room was large and well appointed breakfast was good and ample quantity to start the day. Breakfast can get crowded.

Great apartments close to water and downtownPosted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Clean, some good green initiatives, felt brand new, nice and light. Good reading lights above the bed.
Cons: Rowing machine in the gym would be good, couple of bikes too
Location: Downtown Kingston very charming, lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Hop on- Hop off bus goes nearby, 1000 Islands tours. Lake swimming, bike hire
Stayed here for 9 nights during an event. Friendly, helpful staff, 24-hour desk, quiet, clean apartments, waterfront. Close enough to walk easily to Kingston downtown, but far enough away not to be disturbed.

Great stayPosted Jul 15, 2015

Location: Lots of restaurants, pubs nearby it's right downtown, excellent location.
My family stayed here on the weekend with me. The staff at check in we're very friendly, we even got a free breakfast in the morning, lots of selection of food too :) The hotel Is very close to downtown so we walked everywhere, which was great! We will stay again soon.

Pros: Nice room.

Nice place to stay with family (pet-friendly too!)Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: The free breakfast each morning offered a good selection for the health-conscious as well as those looking to binge a little. Free Wi-Fi in the hotel.
Cons: Not a lot of TV channels to choose from, but there is a TV in the living room and each bedroom. There were some small repairs needed in our suite.
Location: This is right on the waterfront, with a lovely walking path. We enjoyed watching the boats on the river. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.
What I liked about this place was that I could get a small apartment -- 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining, and living space, all for less than the price of 2 rooms elsewhere. This made for a nice, comfortable stay for family. I saw some guests had dogs with them, but that did not interfere with those of us on non-pet halls. The breakfast each morning was generous, fresh, and hot. Great selection for the health-conscious as well as those looking to binge a little. Also, there was free Wi-Fi in the rooms and throughout the hotel, making it easy to stay connected.

Nice hotel close to downtown, RMC & QueensPosted May 18, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed, great kitchen & starter supplies, well lit. Loved the shower! Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Location: On the waterfront with central walking distance to RMC and Queens. We enjoyed the many restaurants in the area, and the proximity to downtown shops.
We booked this hotel based on its reviews and it's proximity within walking distance to RMC, as we were attending convocation ceremonies. Our stay was five days long, and it truly felt like home! From check-in to check-out, staff were friendly and helpful; greeting me by name was a nice touch. The studio suite had a great view of the lake and had everything we needed (and more!) to make our stay comfortable. I would highly recommend the Residence Inn to anyone looking for an excellent, not run of the mill, stay in the Kingston area!

Great hotel, huge rooms and great location.Posted May 12, 2015
The hotel was in a great spot to visit the waterfront, pubs and restaurants. The room also had a great view of the lake and had a full kitchen and was very roomy. No complaints other than forgetting to make up the room one day. No biggie! Just watch out for loads of mayflies down by the water this time of year. Keep your mouth closed when walking outside!
