“Overall stay was good”
This was my first stay at the Wyndham. I travelled to Jamaica with my son on a business trip. My overall experience was good. Only problem experienced was the noise level of the air-conditioning unit. It was really loud when tripping on. I was in room 402, so would recommend someone checking on that particular unit. Barring that, I would stay there again.
“Great Kingston Escape”
Had a pleasant and comfortable stay.
“Not a bad hotel”
The hotel was not bad and neither was the service. The internet landmine works but the wireless does not work in the rooms. Everything was fine, but the hotel itself was costly for the lodging and especially when it comes to food and other items. It is easier to outside of the hotel and get what you want three to five times cheaper. The staff was very professional and friendly and they address your concerns on the spot.
“Would certainly go back”
This hotel and the staff was very great. Room was very comfortable and clean. The restaurants were great but needed some directions to find which ones I needed. The instructions were not very clear as to where the restaurants are located. Overall the service was great.
“Location is key for this 3 STAR hotel, not luxury.”
If you are looking for a luxurious hotel this is not the place for you. The main PRO is location, location, location. Upgrades are not forthcoming here since this place needs a major overhaul and although it caters to the business crowd, it does not fully meet the basic necessities of business travel for the $price. The pool is adequate and the pool bar the same until midnight. Thus the 3 stars. The one thing that is a nice-to-have is the 24-hour snack bar which serves Club sandwiches, cakes, pastries and tarts for the weary traveller. If you want ambience, go to the Devon House Grogge Shop for dinner which has entertainment Fri - Sun. If you're a no nonsense traveller, this will work for you. If you're picky, and location doesn't matter stay at the Spanish Court Hotel I hear.
“moderate stay, improve service”
needs more friendly staff especially at the pool bar. Great food, i was on the 3 floor and the cleaning lady was wonderful need more people like her.I was suppose to get a microwave and did not get it. i had a bad view and it was suppose to be a poolview but instead i got the building top. overall it was an ok stay
“Great time, great people”
Had an excellent time from the moment I stepped into the car of Wyndham Associates. It was my birthday and was pleasantly surprised by the mini birthday cake I received! The service is great and enjoyed the many events that are planned for the guests entertainment. Always love Kingston but new spot for me to relax when visiting will be the Wyndham New Kingston!!!!!!!
“Not impressed”
Overall OK, we were there for one night. My only complaint is the noise, you could practically hear regular conversations on walkways and adjacent rooms.
“Mediocre at best”
Kingston is not known for its sprawling landscape or its sandy beaches... you are thinking of Montego Bay or Ocho Rios. If you want a safe hotel and a decent stay, this hotel will do alright. don't expect luxury, but it is clean and centrally located.
“If you have to go to Kingston it could be adequate”
I had arranged for a late book in and when I arrived the front desk staff were excellent . I was given my key card but when I got to the room it hadn't been made up. I was eventually offered another (upgrade) room which was clean, tidy and comfortable. I had a bar meal that evening which took 50 minutes to arrive from placing the order and the bar wasn't busy. Breakfast was godd and being self-service I wasn't frustrated by any delays. I asked for a late check-out and I was accommodated without any fuss and so I thought that I would eat lunch at the hotel as a vote of thanks. I orderd a club sandwich and fries and again this took about 50 minutes to arrive. Overall, it wasn't a happy experience, after a long day all I wanted was something to eat and bed. One way and another I got to bed two hours later than I could have done. Someone needs to put a bomb behind the bar/kitchen staff. The bar was the only food outlet for dinner and lunch and to have to wait almost an hour for both meals is totally unacceptable.
