Pros: Proximity to special interest
The Woodmark is nice. You do pay a premium for a stay here and as such, should expect a certain level of quality. The rooms are now starting to show a little wear and tear, which is fine as they are very clean. However, nowhere in any correspondence was a $15 dollar "resort fee" mentioned until my check in (at the end of a very long day). Not a lot of money, but a charge for something I didn't use never feels right. The staff are very nice, but stay here when its on special.

Howard from the Woodmark reaching out to say thank you for your input on Expedia. Your input is incredibly valuable to our success and we understand you have so many choices when traveling to the greater Seattle region. I also wanted to apologize about the lack of communication on our hotel's amenity fee. We will certainly take a deeper look asap to insure it is highlighted well on all of our partner web sites. With this said, we have beach cruisers, 2 fitness centers, kayaks, SUV transportation to Kirkland and Bellevue, discounts to Spa, Jet skis, sea planes, our late night raid the pantry and more all included in this fee and hoping you were able to take advantage of some of the offerings. I wanted to be sure this Sunday evening did not pass without touching base to express our appreciation for your feedback. Best regards, Howard Jacobs General Manager

Nice hotel and next to the lake

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Location and the staff are very nice. They also have raid the pantry from 10PM-1AM where you can get snack for free at their pantry.
Location: It's next to Lake Washington. Also a high-end mall called Bellevue is about 3 miles only.
I spent the 4th of July weekend here for a wedding. The location was excellent. The views are amazing. Kayaking is fun and easy.

The hotel was very nice. We had a little issue with noise and they switched our room. The staff was very friendly on all encounters. The valet stuff was very helpful while being overwhelmed, they were super busy, maybe a tad understaffed. Meg (the resident Lab) was so sweet. Raid the pantry was awesome!

A quick reach out from the Woodmark Hotel on Lake Washington to say thank you for your Expedia post. We are humbled to have been your property of choice over the 4th of July week and I took the time this morning to share your kind comments with our Reception desk team and of course a pat on the back for our Director of Barketing - Meg. I was concerned however that you encountered a noise issue during your visit but pleased to read our team was able to swiftly rectify that concern. Have an excellent weekend and thank you again for your patronage of our waterfront Hotel. Best regards, Howard Jacobs General Manager

Pros: On the water with lovely rooms.
Cons: The evening snack they tell you that the $15 per night resort fee includes. What a joke that was. The bed was too soft for me.
Location: The location was too far away from Seattle, but it was on a great lake.
This hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The room was lovely and the view was fantastic, once we moved to a water view. You do not want to spend that much money and settle for a view of the driveway.

Short, but excellent stay.

From check-in to check-out our stay was very enjoyable. The staff was friendly and extremrly helpful and our room was clean, modern and well equipped. In a nut shell, the Woodmark will be my choice when returning to the Seattle area.

Expensive for what you get

Posted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: Food at the Beach Cafe and the view and setting.
Cons: Cleaning service, more accurate description of what is extra.
Location: Location is great - right on Lake Washington - beautiful setting and downtown Seattle is only a 15 minute drive with no traffic.
We booked this hotel for a trip to Seattle, thinking it would be great on the water. It is very pricey, plus there is a daily resort fee and a parking fee. If you don't get your towels changed daily, they just leave them hanging. In other hotels, the cleaning staff has always folded the towels so even if you are reusing them, they feel fresh. There are bottles of water for making coffee in the mornings, however, they don't tell you there is a $4 fee plus 9.25% tax. There is a casual restaurant, the Beach Cafe and I must say the food is excellent, however, there were 2 mornings in which the service was horrendous. We waited a very long time. The bar tender was excellent, though, and it was really nice to watch the sunset in the evenings from the bar. We were at the hotel with a 6 year old and we both thought there was a pool - there was not. Booking this hotel has taught me to read everything a lot more carefully before I book.

Howard Jacobs touching base to say thank you for your Woodmark Hotel post on Expedia and we truly appreciate your patronage. Given there are so many choices for travelers in the greater Seattle area we are thankful for the consideration given in choosing our property for your most recent stay. I am however disappointed to hear that the experience was not flawless. In particular the delays you encountered with wait times at Beach Cafe in addition to the less than stellar stayover service from our Housekeeping team. I would welcome the opportunity to connect with you further in this regard and can be reached at the Woodmark Hotel's main #. In the interim, I have assembled our leadership team and hourly associates in these key areas of the Hotel this morning to insure we properly follow through on your input and confirm concise efforts are deployed moving forward. Thank you again for the feedback and wanted to be sure this week did not pass without reaching out and expressing our thanks. Best regards, Howard Jacobs General Manager

Cons: We had a rookie desk agent for check-in. He was extremely nervous and could not find our Expedia reservation. A more experienced clerk had to come.
Pure relaxation. Best hotel stay in years. My new favorite resort.
